Peaceful Retreat

The carriage house worked out great for my family. We spent two nights where able to visit some friends across town. The property is impressive. The host was timely getting back to me as we booked on short notice.

We had successfully rented on this property earlie...
We had successfully rented on this property earlier in the month in the main house and so we came back to rent the carriage house for beach access. Very clean, paper goods missing, but then provided, carpenter ants. It said kitchenette and garden, but no garden and no stove the entire stay. Stove broken, 911 fire Dept came for strong gas leak after first repair, had to evacuate, then stove replaced, but gas could not be connected the entire 9 days. Couldn’t boil water or cook!
Very disappointing. Hostess was responsive but unable to provide safe cooking. Huge lawn flooded into a lake after Ida, but neighbors said that happens after any big rain. Did not drain off driveway for 4-5 days. Attracted ospreys and a snowy egret.
