Valley Cottage is a comfortable, flexible and quirky property. It is well equipped for short breaks and offers a good base for exploring the area.
Although part of a block of terraced back-to-back stone-built cottages, it has the advantage of a small pretty garden with views of a paddock at the side and rear. The entrance to the cottage is the furthest one at the back of the row of cottages. The location of the cottage gives the feeling of space and privacy with a green and open outlook at the rear. There is space at the side of the row of cottages to unload and an allocated parking space at the front, however we tended to park on nearby roads where there is lots of space and we found this more convenient.
The large open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen is very comfortable and well-equipped with TV, electric cooker, microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble-dryer.
The upstairs layout is a little unusual as access to the main bedroom is through the bathroom. As a couple we have never found this to be a problem.
The cottage a warm, cosy, convenient and lovely base to stay in when visiting Saddleworth.
