The Hooker Hotel is a perfect base of operations for visiting Clarksdale. It's right in the center of the action and everything worth seeing in Clarksdale is an easy walk. If you love blues music (a good assumption if you are visiting Clarksdale) the Hooker Hotel allows you to fully immerse yourself in the blues culture and atmosphere. The property itself is practically a blues themed art exhibit. Funky and comfortable in a way that you need to experience to fully appreciate. If you are heading to Clarksdale and the Hooker Hotel is available book it now - it's a hoot.

The Hooker was funky, spacious, and right the middle of Clarksdale. Great place. However, there was almost nothing going on on a hot Tuesday night in June. One place with music. Ground Zero and Reds closed. No restaurants open in town for dinner. Could see the evidence of history and culture, but lots of closed signs and locked doors. Could be cool, but not tonight. Oh well.

A wonderful find after a loooong couple of driving days. Colorful, imaginative, yet steeped in history, the Hooker Hotel also balances cleanliness, thoughtful touches, and a sense of comfort and security for travelers. Not to be missed.
