This is a lovely 2 bedroomed apartment (bedroom one has a king size double bed and the second bedroom has two full size singles) with stunning panoramic views, in the white village of Mijas Pueblo. The apartment has also been extensively refurbished and modernised, and now has a very large water tank/heater (providing ample hot water) and a new modern efficient, ducted air conditioning system (to the living area and both bedrooms) which also gives heat in the winter. The apartment is situated in the prestigious Sierra Mar urbanisation, on the quieter side of the village, but it is less than a 5 minute walk to an array of bars, restaurants and shops that are bustling throughout the year. About the neighbourhood
Nearby (about 3-5 mins walk) is a small local supermarket, and a fresh food market which sells fish, meat, vegetables and bread. There are a couple of other supermarkets in the village as well as the lady who opens her house as a small shop each morning, for basic essentials, on the same street as the apartment
There are bars and restaurants to cater for all tastes. If you want the simplicity of where the locals go for an inexpensive dish of the day or a five course sumptuous meal, you will find it here in Mijas Pueblo. There are even two takeaways if you can’t tear yourself away from the balcony view, but don't feel like cooking.
The nearest beach is at Fuengirola which is about 10/15 mins drive away but is also easily and cheaply accessible by local public transport. The beautiful...

Getting around
Everything in the village, from museums to chocolate making, is within easy reach. There are leaflets on varying things to do in the apartment.
Public transport is excellent and from the central lower square you can catch a bus in either direction - to take you to Fuengirola or Benalmadena. From Fuengirola a bus or a train will take you all over including Marbella - but I bet you come back wondering what all the fuss is about and saying you prefer Mijas Pueblo :)
If you fancy being a bit more relaxed then there is an excellent taxi service in the village.

Airport: Malaga: 26.0 km
Railway: Fuengirola: 7.0 km
Hiring a car is not a necessity as once you get to Mijas Pueblo (by taxi or a combination of train and bus) you will have everything you need in the village and public transport from the centre of the village to Fuengirola, Benalmadena and even Marbella is very good and regular. Hiring a car will enable you to get to the big supermarkets and the out of the way inland places should you want to explore more. A full set of instructions for either driving or using public transport guiding you from the airport to the apartment will be sent prior to arrival.
