Moles House is situated on a quiet lane in a quaint Moorland Village surrounded by beautiful countryside, country pubs and the river Esk. Just up the lane you can cross the stepping stones over the River Esk to get to the local pub, The Horseshoe Hotel.
Moles House is a four bedroomed detached house, enter the house to a coat and boot room and then into the hallway which leads onto the living room and ground floor bedroom/childrens room. The cosy living room with its woodburner is the perfect place to relax and unwind with views over the river, the living room then leads to the ground floor bedroom with twin beds, great space for the younger members of the family who are attracted by the TV, DVD's, games, jigsaws and toys. This room is also very handy if we have elderly guests who prefer to be downstairs with the added advantage of the ground floor shower room.
To the back of the house is the kitchen, utility, showroom and sunroom. The kitchen and utility are very well equipped with microwave, double electric oven, washer, dishwasher, fridge freezer plus wine fridge. The sun room is the perfect place to sit and take in the views, watch the local bird life, pheasants and rabbits or sheep with lambs. A large table seats 8 plus the table in the kitchen which seats 4.
Upstairs we have three generously sized bedrooms and family bathroom. The Pheasant Room with its fabulous views of the river and fields has a kingsize bed. The Goose room at the back of the house with its King size bed has views of the fields which are filled with sheep and lambs in the spring and rabbits and pheasants can be seen all year round. Lastly, Owl's Room has bunk beds and single bed with views of the river at the front.
The new bathroom with more great views has a large shower/bath, basin and toilet.
Outside to the rear is an enclosed safe courtyard with seating and bbq, also a play house for children with play equipment. To the front a landscaped terraced garden overlooking the river with an elevated lawn with picnic benches for alfresco eating. The front garden is not enclosed as the path leads down to the parking area.We offer breaks of 4 days or more but during the summer holidays, Christmas and New Year we only offer full weeks. Public Transport is excellent with a small bus passing the house and the train station which takes you into Whitby only 300 metres away.More
We are happy to accept 1 well behaved dog but would ask you to keep wet or muddy dogs from going onto the carpeted areas of the house and never in the bedrooms.
What a beautiful house in a perfect location. We couldn't have asked for anything more. So pleased with it that we recommended it to friends who have also booked.
