Cottage
Brand new in 2006, this is a perfect getaway for two. Enjoy evening sunsets and views of the Pamlico Sound from your screened porch. This upstairs accommodation is attractively furnished with a king bed, DVD, TV, stereo, wireless Internet access, phone and full kitchen. Outside grill and linens are provided. Guests have access to sound-side beach. For reservations of seven days or more we offer a 10% discount. All linens provided.

A COUPLES PARADISE!
The cottage is very clean and comfortable. It is very nicely decorated. It has a full kitchen. A very comfortable king size bed. There is a screened in porch over looking the sound. The view is breathtaking. The sunset is beautiful. The best part is that you are surrounded by such beauty and no mosquitoes.The cottage is the perfect size for a couple and it feels like a home away from home. You can take a very short walk to the sound behind the cottage and relax. Off the bedroom there is a small balcony with two chairs to enjoy the morning sun. The cottage is in a great location right next to Springer's Point Preserve a must see. You can walk, ride a bike or drive a Golf cart They rent bikes and Golf carts at Ocracoke Harbor Inn. We rented a Golf cart which was a lot of fun. The entire staff was amazing! This was our second visit and we will return!

Sweet cottage on the sound
This was our second year in a row visiting Ocracoke and staying at the Treasure Chest. This cottage is perfect for a couple or someone needing a solo vacation. It has all of the amenities there for you to make a meal (bring all your own food, including condiments/spices), there is a dishwasher and the bathroom is large and stocked with plenty of towels. The bed is springy, so if you have a restless partner there's a lot of transfer of movement and you may not sleep so great. I'm a light sleeper so that may not bother others. Also, don't leave anything at all on the kitchen counters or you'll have lots of ants come in. There are already scouts there and they'll bring reinforcements! We were careful to keep the counters and sink very clean and that helped tremendously. The location of the cottage is perfect: it's quiet and away from the busier activity, and the walk to the sound beach is two houses away. The view is gorgeous from the screened deck and we enjoyed watching the sunsets there. We love the location of the cottage and the amount of space is perfect for us!

Absolutely Perfect
My husband and I came to Ocracoke for our honeymoon and it didn't disappoint! The beach and preserve literally right outside our door, everything within walking/biking distance, wonderful food, friendly locals, and no shortage of things to keep us busy! The house was the perfect size for us to relax in the peace and quiet, watch the sky change in the morning or the beautiful sunsets from the porch or beach. We had an amazing five days and are trying to figure out how soon we can come back!

Immaculate Detached Apt Overlooking Pamlico Sound by Village
This is an immaculate one bedroom apartment above a garage on a detached property on the edge of Ocracoke Village, near the lighthouse, with lovely uninterrupted views over stunted cedars and reeds to a private beach (with access) and Pamlico Sound.
Room for two cars t park in front of the garage. Bikes and golf carts for rent from the Ocracoke Harbor Hotel which rents out this property.
The Treasure Chest is within easy walking distance of Silver Lake inlet and all the harbor attractions. But it is even closer to its own private beach, with perfect swimming, especially for children who may find the main Atlantic Beach too rough.
Also it adjoins the Springer Point Nature Trail with its enchanted fairyland wood filled with surprises.
We made full use of the large kitchen and exterior Weber gas grill, buying great seafood from Ocracoke Seafood near the Jolly Roger Pub on the harbor. The fridge was large enough for our needs and the ice compartment fed our coolers.
The main deck is screened in but the view out to the Sound is a delight especially in the early morning as the rising sun lights the scene, with fishing boats emerging from the nearby harbor. In the evening it is impossible to actually see the setting sun, but the skies may be of that pinkish hue.
The bird life is of constant interest and raucous during thunderstorms.
Very comfortable King-size bed and large bathroom. Off the bedroom is a little balcony with two easy chairs for the morning sun or for drying clothes. The hotel offers free use of its laundry room.
This is a gem!

Great little getaway for 2
The house was clean, comfortable and had everything you need, space, kitchen, and toiletries wise. We spent a lot of time on the back porch. The views are amazing and peaceful. Bonus - the porch was screened in to keep out the Ocracke mosquitoes. Great location. Stay here. You'll be glad you did!

Perfect for 2!
We came to Ocracoke for our honeymoon. The Treasure Chest is perfect for just such an occasion (long weekend too). While we didn't cook, it appeared to have everything needed if you choose to. The view is gorgeous with the screened-in porch a big plus (no bugs or mosquitos). The Sound-side beach is secluded and easily accessed. Most everything is within an easy walk. The bed was very comfortable.

We arrived from Kitty Hawk on our second part of visiting the Outer Banks not knowing what to expect, imagine our surprise when we opened the door the property is clean, well decorated, all amenities, balconies front and back. Chrissie who was on the front desk at the Harbour Inn, (this is where you pick the keys up)couldn't have been more helpful. Our next stop is Winston Salem and if I had known how lovely this apartment was I would have booked for 7 nights and not 3. If ever we come back we will definitely stay here again.

Perfect spot for two on Ocracoke!
This was our first time to Ocracoke and we could not have found better accommodations. The house was tucked away on a quiet street facing the sound side beach. It has beautiful views and tons of natural light. The house was clean, and well appointed. It had everything we needed except toilet paper (we'd been left with half a roll and nothing extra). Delightful place to stay we would go again.

Perfect Getaway
House was absolutely perfect for a couple. Wonderful amenities and perfectly decorated. Walking distance to just about anywhere. Already planning on returning and cannot wait.
