The best time staying down by the river in Sparta, the house was great. Loved the location… the photos don’t do this little slice of heaven justice. Nice walking around town and just a short drive to go hiking or Mt biking nearby in one of the state parks! We ate outside most evenings, even when it was rainy we had a fire and ate under cover in the pavilion and played games! Great place!

My family and I absolutely loved the place! The property was amazing and the kids had a blast playing in the river that was right in front of the house. There were about three small waterfall rapids that they rode on tube down. The place was very peaceful and secluded. The outdoor area beside the house was full of tables and chairs making my husband want to bring friends and family next time to enjoy the scenery. Front porch sitting was the best! The house was very clean and everything was awesome! Can't wait for another trip to Sparta and Stone Mountain as we will definitely be staying here again soon.

We had an excellent experience staying on the property. The outbuilding with fireplace was awesome every night and the host has stocked us up with good seasoned wood. The stream running through was an awesome feature and there is a pool a little downstream that was deep enough for a cold plunge. Decorations in the house felt a bit outdated like staying at “grandmas house” but everything was very clean and the kitchen was well-stocked for our lowcountry boil. There is also a stream-side walking trail that was fun to traverse.

Had a great time very nice quiet location with the only sounds being the Little River. Looking forward to another visit.

Over the years we have visited some exotic and beautiful places. With time you learn there are some rare jewels in unexpected places. This is one !!! So serene and the river is so beautiful. We want to thank David and his family for sharing this beautiful serene private jewel on the river.

This place has become a tradition for our family. We bookend summer at this wonderful oasis. Booking for an entire week next year!

This home deserves more credit! It was extremely clean. The property was so beautiful. The Pavilion was the perfect place to cook outside, eat outside, sit by the fire, watch the river, watch the wildlife. Perfect mix of sun and shade. The home has obviously had some updates and was spaciously laid out. The pictures do not show the true beauty and just how wonderful this place is. We are already planning our return!!

3rd time at this property. It was incredible as usual.

We live 3.5 hrs from Sparta and had a party to attend for a close friend and decided to just stay the weekend. We were looking for a place on the water. Boy, did we find the PERFECT spot! Secluded, close to the water (which sounded amazing!), fantastic porch we simply did NOT want to leave, very clean, had everything we needed, and David, our host, was very friendly and helpful. We will DEFINITELY be returning ASAP!
