Little River cabin is a world away, sitting on the trout-stocked Little River in Sparta, NC. Secluded, yet only 9 min. from town. Little River is an amazing retreat, perfect for weekend getaways, anniversaries, honeymoons or excellent trout fishing! After booking, you will receive an email from owner with all check-in info. Linens and towels are included.

Sparta Mountain Cabin
The nature of this spot is awesome!
The gently roaring river is a perfect sound to relax to. The river is also full of hungry trout. Be ready for a good, steep hike down and up to the riverbank. Make sure to have sturdy shoes that you can get dirty.
Speaking of the hill, be ready for a short, steep gravel driveway that did seem to push the limits of our VW SUV especially on the climb up.
The cabin is fully equipped with just about everything you need to handily survive while “roughing it” in the woods. All cooking utensils included. It’s nice having a TV, although we never really needed to use it. The WiFi was very handy and strong. There is a window AC unit, but we never had to turn it on. The cabin was clean and the bugs were not an issue inside.
The sliding bathroom door and location of the bathroom mean you may disturb your partner during the night. Also, the bathroom may not feel perfectly private given the door.
The fire pit provided a good spot to cook a hearty dinner and relax in the evening. You may want to purchase some dry firewood before arriving.
The communication with the owner was excellent before and after our visit.
In late August, we did not have many issues with mosquitoes or other bugs.
Overall, a very relaxing stay with plenty of amenities and opportunities to unwind in a beautiful natural setting. We’re looking forward to a return trip.

Far Exceeded Already High Expectations!
About two days before arrival, we decided to make this weekend get-away our honeymoon. We were married in Sparta about 2:30. On check-in about 3:30, we were both immediately WOWED by the seamless coupling of instant mountain cabin charm with the modern comforts and cleanliness of this wonderfull property.
Inside you will be greeted with a bright, clean, and homey sense of comfort and security. Furnished with AC, Heater, and Air purifier, the cabin is efficient and cozy. Pots, pans, dishes & silverware, all included... (yes, there is a can opener!)
Outside, serenity in the extreme. Easy walk to the river, lenthy bank for strolling, and a third covered deck with a porch swing at river front. The river is shallow enough in most places for hip waders, and stocked with five kinds of trout. I managed a 2 pound brown early on our first morning there. (Watch the trees on the far bank, I lost several spinners.. haha.)
Enjoy, we did!

About the neighbourhood
Incredible location and very private on your own river. Excellent fishing with both trout for fly fishing, and bass and Croppie. Excellent hiking at Stone Mountain State Park.
