We loved this delightful home. Such a beautiful spot and tucked close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The home was super clean and well stocked. Our pups had fun exploring along the bank of the river and spending time with us on the most amazing covered deck. We all fell asleep listening to the babbling brook that runs underneath the deck as it was just so peaceful.. Saw a family of wild turkeys in the early morning and numerous hummingbirds visited the flowers. My husband enjoyed fishing and watching as a beaver floated right on by him about his day. The owners surely have thought of everything you would need to make your trip relaxing. They were pleasant and thoughtful to communicate with if you had questions or needed assistance. We look forward to visiting this restful, cool, and beautiful gem again soon.

We loved our stay in this house,we had everything we needed for a great weekend! The decks and outdoor space were fantastic. The house has great river views and the large private property has a lot of river frontage! We truly enjoyed the easy fishing and relaxing next to the river. The owners were super easy to work with and very helpful!! Thank you so much!

This property is amazing. The house was well equipped and spacious. It was super clean. The views are gorgeous from the decks. There’s so much space to sit and relax or read. Plenty of games got rainy days. Enjoyed tubing right in front of the house. The only thing I would have liked was a tea kettle as I’m not a coffee drinker. But the house is perfect. Already plan on booking it for 2 other occasions

We had an amazing vacation here. The cabin was very clean and had absolutely everything we needed. The views of the river both from the cabin and the spacious porch were incredible! We enjoyed watching the birds, chipmunks, and butterflies. We fished and kayaked in the river. It was a perfect place to enjoy nature and relax.

We had an amazing weekend! The house is designed to make the most of the environment! A calming stream runs behind the house and under the large covered porch! Whether you are enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine - the porch wraps you in peaceful tranquility! Highly recommend this place as a great getaway!

Me and 2 of my kids have rented this property in the past, new owners have made some improvements which I enjoyed. The price is more than comparable properties but I rented here because I was familiar. Clean and comfortable.

We had a great visit and loved this property. First, the house is one of the cleanest we have ever walked into. There wasn't even dust on the bookshelf. The windows in the house were awesome. I could look out the kitchen at the daffodils and then the dining and family room at the river. The outside areas were where we hung out for our daily cheese, crackers and wine enjoying the view. The location was new to us and we enjoyed visiting parks in both NC and VA during our stay and hiking and fishing. I caught my first fish on my new rod right from the rocks at the house -so this might make me a little biased. We did have a 2 wheel drive - while we typically parked at the lower spot for convenience, we were able to comfortably make it up the hill for packing. There was plenty of hot water, the beds were comfortable and I the owners kindly sent us a message when the home was ready if we were able to check in early. If you are looking at the pictures and think the deck looks delightful - you will not be disappointed.

Too many perks to summarize! Everything was perfection. Amazing property and can’t wait to come back soon! We didn’t need a single thing. Everything is provided. Truly, paradise in the mountains of Sparta.

The house was vary nice and the views outstanding

The cabin was everything the owners represented and we couldn’t have been more pleased. It was charming, clean, updated and well equipped while still providing a rustic feel. The picturesque views of the river from every room and the deck/porch area are absolutely beautiful. We only wish we could return sooner to enjoy all this property has to offer.
