Over 10 car parks it is one hour drive from Winnipeg and 7 minutes drive from Gimli and close to Sandy Hook Golf course, at the end of Winnipeg Beach, Prospect Street.

This is a very large cottage right on the lake with 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms so it can accommodate many. The view is amazing! The main sitting room has three large leather couches and several chairs for watching movies, doing puzzles or just chatting. The kitchen has everything you need including a dishwasher. The beds were comfortable and the cottage was clean. We had everything we needed. Dan was a great host, he would respond quickly to questions and even found us fans during the heat wave.
We think the location is perfect, you are a short bike to Winnipeg beach ( 5 km) or to Gimli (10 km). The lot is very wide and has a badminton net setup which was great fun for everyone. The water is accessible over a bank of rocks, there is a path down to the beach but this stretch of the lake is protecting their properties from erosion. We climbing down the rocks and floated down to the 5th street beach at Sandy hook, investigated all the rocks along the way, it was wonderful! We will be back!

Wonderful time
My family had a wonderful time at Dan’s lakefront cottage. Spacious, clean, with all the amenities we needed, great fire pit, large yard, beautiful view, and the gift of a full moon.

Great for families or groups
The highlight of this cottage is the amount of space -- four bedrooms, two large living areas, one of which has three pull out couches that could be used for sleeping, a dining room with a large table, a large kitchen, two full bathrooms and a large yard. The cottage is a well preserved and maintained, of late 1950s early 1960s construction. The owner was helpful and had stocked the cottage with everything we needed -- dishes, bedding, utensils, pots and pans, etc. The cottage is waterfront, but there is no beach. The nearest beach is at Winnipeg Beach town centre / park, about 2km away. Perfect for a large group of several families - as in our case.

Perfect cabin rental for large groups…
Had a great week in this fantastic cabin on the water. The host provides everything necessary and is quick to respond to any requests. Cabin is large, spacious and comfortable.
Would definitely rent again!

Beautiful property, accommodating owner - wonderful event site. Hope to have all our anniversaries here!
My husband and I booked this venue for our wedding at Winnipeg Beach. We had a lot of out of town guests coming so we needed some accommodations in the area for them. This is a huge facility, 4 big bedrooms with new beds, huge living room space to hang out and watch TV in, washer/dryer on site, all freshly renovated. Beautiful wood-lined cabin with an indoor fireplace; fresh. clean, inviting, all new furnishings.
This property is lakeside; BEAUTIFUL breathtaking view, made for a perfect background for all our wedding photos. Space was large enough to accommodate 150 guests. There are outdoor firepits, a large front yard, several parking spaces and easy parking all up the highway.
The owner went out of his way to make our requests as far as timing and having the property ready; was very understanding about payment and went far above and beyond what we every could have expected to make our special day one that really stood out; even let us set up tents on his lawn, shoot fireworks, met with us many times before the event to ask what else we could want/need for the space, contacted us afterwards to ensure it all went as planned and desired. The price was VERY reasonable and our out-of-town guests loved waking up to watching the lake every morning with a cup of coffee; having a bonfire every night... really an idyllic spot.
We hope to spend all our anniversaries here. Contact the owner, whether for a vacation rental or for an event and you will be so glad you did!
