Great lodge in a great location
What a great place to stay! Spacious even with a wheelchair user, and equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. Great views in a lovely quiet location and close to good roads for days out. Thank you, we will be back!

Perfectly Located
Lovely little hide away, so peaceful and quiet but perfectly positioned for lots of days out just a few minutes drive away. The Lodge was lovely and clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a home from home. The owner was very nice and helpful and communicative throughout. The local village is just a short walk away with a nice pub and park. We had the most amazing week and can’t wait to visit again.

I stayed here last weekend and I was so impressed. The lodge itself was well equipped, clean and welcoming. If you want to stay in this area then I don't think you could do better.

Fantastic stay
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Barley Rise. It’s an absolutely beautiful lodge that is extremely comfortable, clean, has everything you could possibly need and all in a fantastic location. Kay was also on hand both by email prior to the trip and in person throughout the stay if we needed anything. We would recommend to anyone and have already discussed a return trip.

Something for Everyone!
We totally enjoyed our stay at Barley Rise. It is best described as family friendly, beautiful, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The grocery store is within 15 minutes walking distance, and the Morris Dancer Pub is across the street from the grocery. I highly recommend dining at the Morris Dancer. Everything at Barley Rise was exactly as presented and I can honestly recommend this place to anyone who wants to escape the hustle and bustle of big city life. The location was perfect for me, close to the city of Chester, the tiny town of Tarporley and within 1 hour driving of Liverpool. I stayed almost a month and to be honest, I would have enjoyed staying longer. If you have questions, the owner is happy to answer and can also provide suggestions and recommendations of things to do in the area. If at all possible, I will find time return again in the future.

Great location
Lovely location with lots of walks nearby, the lodge is well equipped with log burning fire the view of the countryside from the French windows gave us endless hours of bird spotting and watching the sheep gave us a real taste of living in the country, The lodge was well kept and very clean and it was a lovely surprise that clean towels were provided
