Jazzberry Cottage is a brand new quality cottage conversion occupying an enviable location in the heart of the Southern Lake District. Either immerse yourself in the many varied attractions within 10 mins of the property or lose yourself in the surrounding stunningly beautiful countryside and woodlands of the Rusland Valley and Furness Fells. A perfect rural holiday retreat with comfortable and modern luxury throughout. It is more reminiscent of a contemporary hotel than what you would expect from a traditional Lakeland cottage, with the 'cheeky cottage chic' styling proving a winning combination. Jazzberry boasts all modern luxuries such as waterfall shower, full central heating, Italian Sofas, SKY TV etc whilst maintaining the intimate feel of a classic Lakeland cottage with a tradition...Jazzberry Cottage is a brand new quality cottage conversion occupying an enviable location in the heart of the Southern Lake District. Jazzberry boasts all modern luxuries such as waterfall shower, full central heating, Italian Sofas, SKY TV etc whilst maintaining the intimate feel of a classic Lakeland cottage with a traditional fireplace, wood burning stove and original doors. Boasting two comfortable, contemporary furnished bedrooms sleeping four people (master king and a twin) and a stunning large family bathroom, Jazzberry is perfect for a family holiday or just a chance to chill in company of friends. The spacious fully fitted kitchen offers everything you require should you decide to self-cater and make the most of the dining table. Jazzberry enjoys direct access from A590 to the front and has lowland fells to the rear. We are certain that the plethora of local attractions will keep the whole party busy but for a change of scenery and all important relaxation, a day at the nearby refurbished Whitewater Leisure Centre or Swan Hotel can be enjoyed for a daily rate. Whether you would like to simply enjoy the complete peace of Backbarrow, taking cycle rides or walks out from your door (whether for a leisurely stroll among the fells, hills and tarns or just a quick trip to one of the four friendly pubs/hotels within walking distance), or for use as a base for exploring the beautiful landscape of the Lake District National Park, the location could hardly be better. Jazzberry Cottage is excellent because of the high standard of decoration, cleanliness and equipment provided. It's location makes it ideal for visiting this part of the Lake District and I can recommend the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway, Levens Hall and the National Trust walk at Arnside Knott.

Really lovely home from home! The location is brilliant. So close to the river, walks, Lakeside motor museum! We also walked to the train station and took steam train to Lakeside followed by boat trip to Bowness. Great day out. There are many things to do in the area and it is so nice to come back and relax. The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need. Would definitely recommend it to my friends.

We stayed 3 nights here at Jazz Berry Cottage with our 2 dogs. Firstly, it is a short distance from Ulverston Town, Windermere, Coniston, and also the coast. All of which are great places to visit for either tourist attractions or going out to eat and drink. The cottage itself was beautiful and clean. It was the perfect accommodation to relax in after all day walking and exploring.

Spent 3 nights here with 3 adults staying in this delightful cottage. Fantastic base for visiting The Lakes. Arrived to a clean and welcoming cottage with bread and milk, tea and coffee provided. Beds comfortable and bathroom too. Amazing bath and shower. Plenty of hot water. Across the road is the Whitewater hotel which does great meals if you want to eat out. The road was noisy with the windows open but we closed them at night once the bedrooms were cool and it was fine. Would definitely stay again.

Great cottage just off the main road, which made it easily accessible to anywhere in the Lake District. Plenty of public footpaths to take the dogs off out into the countryside right from the front door.

This is a great cottage which is more like a town house on 3 levels. Looks deceptively small from outside but like a tardis, very spacious inside and decorated in a modern, stylish way with everything you need. Ideally located eg. 19 minute drive to Windermere. We would happily stay here again.

A lovely place to stay, beautifully decorated and the little touches, like the welcome flowers and cake were such a great start to a wonderful stay. We couldn’t fault the cleanliness (and I’m quite fussy!) and the whole place was so welcoming, and the living room so cosy. The shower was particularly a hit with us (no tiny little trickle)! We’ll be back to visit again!

We had a lovely stay in jazzberry cottage, we arrived to find a welcome pack of dish washing aids, milk and butter in the fridge and a lovely bunch of flowers. The living/dining room was cosy and spacious and the kitchen had all the conveniences of home. The beds were comfortable, but curtains would have made the room a bit darker for those early morning sunrises. Also the front bedroom does get quite noisy as it is on a main busy road, ( we knew this before we went and it didn't put us off) but families with younger children may find it a problem. We are left a comprehensive book of instructions and 'things to do' which was very handy, but by far our favourite thing was the bathroom, a beautiful claw foot bath and enormous shower ( and shaving point!). Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage it is obvious you take great pride in making it look nice, we would definitely recommend it to others and be back if we are in the area.

About the neighbourhood
The South Lakes and South East Cumbria have the best of both worlds – quiet, beautiful open countryside yet within easy reach of the Lake District’s ‘Hot Spots’. Family days out include the South Lakes Animal Park at nearby Dalton, where you can see Amur and Sumatran Tigers, Muncaster Castle with its owl sanctuary and adventure playground, either the Eskdale miniature railway or Haverthwaite Steam Trains, The Lakes Aquarium, boat trips on Windermere or Coniston Water, Furness Abbey, The Beatrix Potter Gallery, the award winning gardens of Holker Hall or Grizedale Forest with it's sculpture trails, way marked mountain bike tracks and high wire rope course provided by Go Ape - the list of attractions within the area is endless. Leisure activities close by include lake swimming at Fell Foot...
Getting around
The Lakes is notoriously bad for public transport. A car is recommended. That said you an make a car free journey to Bowness using foot to the Haverthwaite Steam train which links with the Lake cruises. Or you can get the bus to Kendal from the stop just outside Jazzberry
