Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Excellent for families with so much to do in the area. The cottage is pristine and very cosy. Elaine the owner is so nice and helpful. We all (3 generations) had a fantastic time. Would highly recommend.

About the neighbourhood
We are in the perfect location for touring the beautiful Lake District, the Solway Coast, historic Hadrian's Wall Country and over the border to Scotland. The historic market town of Wigton, that recently celebrated its 750th anniversary of being granted its market charter, is 3 miles away and provides a good selection of local shops and amenities. A village shop and garage, 1.5 miles away, sells local produce. The area is well provided with public transport - bus 1 mile and train station 3 miles away. This is a great central base for exploring the northern lakeland fells and the pretty market town of Penrith and the Eden valley. The historic Hadrian's Wall and roman settlements provide a great day out for all the family. The cathedral city of Carlisle is a 20 minute drive away boast...
