Professionally renovated to exceptional standards, Peak Cottage in the picturesque village of Winster combines antiquity with 21st century living. Set on four different levels, originally 2 miners cottages, they were joined together in the 19th century and provide ideal accommodation for two couples or a family group. Calming hues, antique oak and richly coloured fabrics give the cottage a cosy, country retreat feel. The woodburning stoves are perfect for cold winter evenings, although central heating in every room ensures luxurious warmth and comfort all year round. Bedroom 2: The twin bedroom has two large single beds with comfortable, semi firm mattresses, and a hand painted, period wardrobe. A door leads directly to the en-suite with a large walk in shower. Bathrooms: Family bathroom: Has a shaped shower bath with large, rain shower head, 2 drawer vanity unit with inset hand basin and a WC. Both the bath and basin have waterfall taps. There's also a heated towel rail and hair dryer. En-suite: Has a large shower cubicle with fixed and movable, rain shower heads, hand basin and a WC. There's also a heated towel rail and a large storage cupboard. Kitchen: A compact but well equipped, stylish kitchen; Solid oak flooring, oven, hob, extractor, microwave, toaster, kettle, refrigerator with ice box. Iron and ironing board. In fact everything you could need for a self-catering holiday. Utility/Boot Room: The outside utility room houses a washing machine and an additional fridge with ice box. It's also a convenient place to store your muddy walking boots. Courtyard Garden: This pretty walled garden has herbaceous plants and a bay tree surrounded by traditional Derbyshire stone walls. On sunny days you can breakfast outside with views over Winster and the rolling hills of the Peak District. More

Enjoyed our stay at Peak Cottage. Very quirky as described but very well equipped. Great to have an en-suite shower room as well as a good size bathroom. Nice quality towels were provided and the rooms were warm. Bushes in the garden need trimming back...More

This cottage is wonderful and very welcoming. I stayed here with my two kids and had a great time. Winster is a great base to explore the surrounding countryside and nearby attractions.
