Our ‘Star’ is an original Westmorland Showman’s caravan used by professional travellers, dating from the 1970s. A perfect hideaway, tucked quietly alone for a fun getaway. Snugly situated on its own in an orchard setting, within a billowing six acre of pastoral countryside near Battle, East Sussex. With access to a large adjacent field with pond and a stunning view across to Beachy Head, this is a unique retreat but with so much to do nearby. We welcome pets. Well away from any main roads, Star is glamorous vintage style with all the attractions of ‘glamping'. Friendly and welcoming, room for two in a double that converts from the sofa, there's also a single bed and we have single camp beds for that extra friend or child. Well away from any main roads, Star is glamorous vintage style with all the attractions of ‘glamping'. Friendly and welcoming, room for two in a double that converts from the sofa, there's also a single bed and we have single camp beds for that extra friend or child. Cooker, fridge and electric fire inside the caravan and a safari kitchen outside, with 2 ring gas burner, sink and running water. You feel close to nature, bird song and viewings of hedgehogs, badgers, foxes, pheasants and even voles if you are lucky. Spend evenings around the camp fire, sing songs, and sleep in, in the morning. Stunning walks through undeveloped country side to the local pubs, The Ash at Brown Bread Street or The Star at Wood’s Corner is a must. Safe swimming beaches at Norman’s Bay, a drive away. Set in several acres of countryside near Battle of 1066 fame. For those who like their food we have many good local suppliers and markets to shop at. The country side is part of the High Weald of East Sussex We supply a welcome pack to get you going. Fresh eggs are local. We are also close to Heathfield & Herstmonceux Castle. And the train journey from London is only 1.1/4 hours. Our nearest station Etchingham, 4 miles away. Ideal for escapes, and special occasions. Very private.More
