We stayed at School Cottage during half term week, it is a very spacious property, plenty of space for 6 adults and 2 children. Very homely and clean, lovely comfy beds. Local area has shops and takeaways in walking distance, Tesco's is 3 miles away....More

About the neighbourhood
Berkeley is on the edge of the Cotswolds, with excellent access to the M5/M4 network. The village of Berkeley has a Co-op and One-stop, plus a pharmacy, several cafes and plenty of genuine local pubs. The Salutation is an independent family-run pub ten minutes walk from School Cottage and has won awards for its real ale. Berkeley is dominated by the huge C12th Castle where the Berkeley family still live to this day. There's a real sense of history here, and we get a lot of film crews. Berkeley is world-famous as the place where Dr Edward Jenner discovered innoculation and the cure for smallpox, and the Jenner Museum is a short walk from School Cottage. You can also walk ten minutes to Cattle Country Adventure Park.
Getting around
The nearest train station is Cam/Dursley which is 4 miles away. The nearest airport is Bristol International, about 45 minutes by car.
