ringwood is great, great location nice and close to everything but lots of little things let the accommodation down. Hot water tap in the kitchen didn’t work properly, the hover didn’t work, the bed frame was far too large so kept hitting our knees on the frame. The kitchen in the cupboard was serviceable but completely impractical. They have tried to make it work but it needs to be simpler.

We spent a week in the Avon Mist and had a great time. The accommodation is above a restaurant and consists of a small and comfortable living area, a good sized bedroom with a double bed and a further narrow room to the side with 2 single beds which you need to go through to access the bathroom. The accommodation has loads of character with a thatched roof and beams throughout. Overall it was very comfortable. It was big enough for the 2 of us but would be a squeeze for a family group other than say a young child. The fact that you have to access the bathroom via the other bedroom would make this unsuitable for older children. The only downside was the kitchen area. It is more of portable kitchen situated in the living area. It has an electric hob, toaster, and microwave. It is okay for preparing breakfast but with no real work surfaces it is all quite fiddly. Ringwood itself is a small market town with a reasonable selection of pubs and restaurants. We also did a tour of Ringwood brewery which was great. We chose the Avon Mist as a convenient base to explore the local area and it was a lovely quirky and charming base for a great holiday

Stayed a couple of nights at this nice location with our little dog. Loved Ringwood with this apartment being ideal for our stay. Everything is provided for an easy restful stay with relaxation at its best. Loved the feel of the place and it has its own charm. People around couldn't have been nicer and every where we went we felt most welcome. A couple of small negatives were the sound of the motorway being nearby and you can hear people in the bar area downstairs but having read up on the place before going I was aware of these so not really a problem. Struggled with wi fi connection but again if thats the worse that happens its not a worry. Would certainly return without hesitation.

Stayed here on a long weekend for three nights with my spouse and our 2 year old girl. Our main point of the visit was to come down and take our 2 year old to peppa pig world. This place was only 20 minutes away so was ideal. Set in a lovely little village with a good range of restaurants and shops. Underneath Avon Mist is a lovely restaurant which we didn't get a chance to eat in but looked very nice. On arrival quite late on the Friday night we were greeted by a very friendly lady in the bar who explained where we were staying and where to collect the key. To get to Avon Mist you have to enter through the bar area into a door at side of the bar a little bit strange to start with but in the end it was no problem. The room itself is exactly how it looks on the pictures and as described. Very old feel with beams and floors that slope. Lots and lots of character. Once settled in we never really encountered anyone else from the restaurant and were left to get on with things which was nice. We all really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone.

This one was a bit different! On the top floor of a restaurant, which meant you went through the restaurant to get to your accommodation. Not sure if I would have been comfortable dragging my luggage through the patrons if it has been open when we arrived. The accommodation itself was what would be expected of a cottage this age, however the access steps were not for the faint hearted and relied on a hand rope to assist on the downward journey as the steps were very steep and no hand rail. The floors were very uneven and the head of the bed faced down the slope of the floor. An interesting place to stay and only a very short walk up the street to find shops, restaurants or pubs. All in all, we quite enjoyed our stay in this old thatched roof cottage.

About the neighbourhood
Ringwood sits between two forests: Ringwood forest with its wealth of pine trees, cycle paths including Moors Valley Country Park and Children s Play Trail, and the New Forest National Park which offers thousands of acres of moor, heath and woodlands where ponies, cattle and occasionally pigs roam free. You may also see wild deer, foxes, badger, rabbits and unexpected birds such as rare birds of prey. Both forests are fantastic for exploring whether on foot, bike or horse. Ringwood offers: A comprehensive range of shops both independently owned and national chains such as Phase Eight, Jaeger, Fat Face, Clarkes, W.H. Smith etc. A wealth of cafeterias and restaurants including Italian and Indian; mainly independents but with a couple of nationals such as Nero Coffee and Prezzo's. Six pu...
