If only we could live there!
What a wonderful place. We have had the pleasure of staying here on quite a few occasions. The facilities are perfect with all the required mod cons and the location is idyllic. The hosts are happy to assist with your every need including offering advice on whats good to do on or around the property. For my wife and I, it oddly feels as if we are returning home when we visit this lovely little piece of the IOW.

Comfortable but needs some tlc
We appreciated the nice welcome pack, the space, comfortable bed, loads of hot water. The property is convenient for visiting the whole island, lovely & quiet & nice local walks. However sadly the area around the house & Tudor Lee itself looked totally neglected. The garden plants were spread all over the path to Tudor Lee which meant walking on the damp grass to access the place. Ivy & roses grew not only round the windows but over them, so when they could have last been cleaned is anyone's guess. we had to thoroughly clean the filters on the dishwasher to get it to work properly, the washing machine seal leaked, (& was not a dryer as listed) albeit on a tiled floor, but there was no mop or cloth for clearing up. Cobwebs abounded & whereas I realise old properties acquire spiders, I wouldn't expect to find them in a "luxury" letting that should have been properly cleaned before we arrived. Oven shelves were dirty & 2 mouldy wooden spoons, bathroom door doesn't shut properly. Sorry although pleasant, not luxury

We are glad that you enjoyed Tudor Lee's peace and quiet, the comfortable 6ft bed with sheets and blankets you requested, the constant hot water, heating and location. What a pity you didn't take the opportunity to raise any issues during your 2 week stay when all could immediately have been resolved. In such a wet and 'growy' September the late summer growth was lush, with resulting vegetables and fruit freely available.

Very good experience - home away from home
A lovely location not far from yarmouth town centre and within easy transport to all the main sights and sounds of IoW, especially close to an Alapaca farm. A very well contained property ideal for a family of 3/4. Jill and Steve were great hosts, and we would definitely go back and stay here again. Personally I loved their motley collection of books which has actually brought me back to my reading habit.

We aim to provide all that is needed for a luxurious break in the beautiful countryside of the West Wight, including a wide range of books and comfortable places to sit and read, indoors, in the conservatory, and in the garden. We look forward to welcoming such appreciative guests again!

Excellent!
Tudor Lee is a very special place to stay in the lovely West Wight area. Minutes from the Yarmouth ferry, the house is set along a lane, with walking access across fields down to the sea. The accommodation is comfortable, with a spacious bedroom, and everything we needed. It was lovely to be greeted with fresh-cut garden flowers. The building has a lovely homely feel - and includes a pretty garden and conservatory, as well as a cosy living area and separate room for dining. Great local places within 10 mins drive for eating out included The Red Lion and The New Inn. As a couple, it was the perfect space for our very short break on the island, and we would return in an instant.

Tudor Lee is designed as a luxury hideaway, giving peace in the beautiful West Wight countryside, but near to the historic ferry port of Yarmouth. We are so pleased that these visitors enjoyed an April weekend, and appreciated the special ambience! We look forward to welcoming them again.

ANOTHER WONDERFUL STAY-
Tudor Lee is absolutely perfect. It is peaceful, cosy and supplies us with everthing we need. Our three week break went so fast. The weather, thankfully, was kind which enabled us to enjoy the lovely area of West Wight.

Wonderful 'get away from it all' family holiday
My husband and I and our 5 year old son had a wonderful holiday at Tudor Lee in August 2015. From the moment we booked the cottage, we felt very well looked after. Jill assisted us booking our return ferry crossing - highly recommended, a big saving!. We received a warm welcome from the family when we arrived. Jill, Steve and family achieved a great balance of being available, kind and helpful but not at all intrusive. We found the cottage to be more spacious than we expected. Boiling hot water. Excellent WiFi connection (sufficient to stream YouTube videos!). The large mature gardens provided an idyllic environment for a 5 year to explore and play hide and seek, with many hidden pathways, a stream and 2 wooden bridges. From an adult perspective, it is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. A real 'get away from it all' and a great location for visiting the Islands many visitor attractions. We highly recommend Tudor Lee and hope to return in the future.

We're so pleased that the house and garden allowed parents to relax, and 5 year old to enjoy exploring. As we know the ferry routes, we can offer advice and help keep the cost of travel down by booking for our guests. Looking forward to seeing this family next year!

The perfect holiday hideaway
Tudor Lee is a wonderful bolthole on the prettiest side of the island, just a few miles from Yarmouth and the coast. I stayed there with my two children, aged 9 & 11, and it was the perfect sized holiday home (small but not tiny) and also warm, comfortable and homely. Although there is only one bedroom, it is huge so sharing with the kids was not a problem. Tudor Lee would also make the perfect romantic hideaway for a weekend break, rain or shine! Owners Jill and Steve are welcoming and relaxed and dog Isla was a big hit with the kids. Big conservatory and beautiful garden too, which sadly we weren't able to make the most of because of the typical half-term weather! We look forward to retuning, though, Tudor Lee was a fantastic find.

A beautiful stone cottage, very comfortable and surrounded by nature.
We have stayed at Tudor Lee for several years now and return for the peace, tranquillity and natural beauty of the immediate environment and surrounding countryside. The cottage is comfortable and very well equipped with an extremely spacious double bedroom, luxurious bathroom and relaxing conservatory surrounded by gardens and orchards. I especially enjoy sitting in the garden in the evening with a glass of wine to watch the island's many varieties of bats begin their evening forays; then, on clear nights to see the fabulous displays of stars and the milky way, far from any light pollution. Wellow and Thorley are small villages just 1.5 miles away from the amenities of Yarmouth where there is everything you could wish for and great places to eat. Finally, the owners of Tudor Lee are most helpful and welcoming and we look forward to returning again soon.

Ideal place for a peaceful break
Found this place online. It was easy to book, got a quick response with confirmation and 'how to find' info - which was very useful. Wanted to get there a little early and the owners were very accommodating. The place was easy to find, there was parking close by so did not end up hauling my things around. The accommodation was perfect - small really well equipped kitchen, a dining area, sitting area, large bedroom and bathroom, adequate plug points. The whole place was very clean. Linens, towels robes etc provided. The weather was a wet and windy, but had gone for a bit of peace and quiet so wasn't too bothered - the WIFI signal was good and there was a whole load of books in the cottage to keep me occupied. The owners were friendly and ensured that I was comfortable but left me alone to enjoy the peace and quiet. I have stayed in many hotels and holidayed in various self-catering places and would not hesitate in recommending this place to any of my friends.

About the neighbourhood
Yarmouth is located on the western side of the Island at the mouth of the Yar estuary. The historic little town has grown as a result of its natural harbour, guarded by Yarmouth Castle, which was built by Henry VIII in 1547 The Harbour attracts international yachts and motor cruisers, whose crews take advantage of the moorings to enjoy the lively range of shops, and places to eat and drink in the town. Wightlink Ferries dock here from Lymington, after a crossing of just under half an hour. The picturesque narrow streets and town square are lined by flower decked shops and pubs; restaurants range from Michelin star quality through family-friendly pubs to cafes with outside tables for celebrating fine weather late into the evening, many meals having an emphasis on local produce and freshly caught fish .
