Minty Cottage is a former fisherman's cottage dating back to 1850. It’s located in a quiet secluded off road position yet the promenade and unspoilt beach of Hythe are only a 2 minute walk away. Outside the cottage is a tiny semi enclosed courtyard where there is a Jack and Jill seat for those balmy evenings. There is also free on street parking. Hythe town centre is just a 5-10 minute stroll along the Royal Military Canal with its stunning gardens and open areas. Hythe is a very old town steeped in history and has a wealth of beautiful individual shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. Minty Cottage is cosy and well equipped. Its ideal for professionals plus those with a pet dog (without additional charge). Its ideal for professionals plus those with a pet dog (without additional charge). The cottage has retained much of its charm and boasts many original features. As well as a decorative woodburner, it has an AGA stove which makes it very cosy in the colder months. Its quite simply a wonderful place to unwind & relax. The Royal Military Canal flanked by stunning gardens is a wonderful place for a stroll or even for hiring a boat in the summer months. There is plenty to see and visit in the surrounding area but if you don;t feel inclined, Hythe has practically everything you will need for a perfect retreat without needing to drive a kilometre. So why not park your car, relax and enjoy the charm of this beautiful cottage in this picturesque historic seaside town and enjoy all there is to offer.More

Good location. Near to sea/beach. Fish & Chip shop in the next street, pub five mins from the cottage. Nice comfy mattress/bed. Such a shame that the housekeeping/cleaner didn’t meet up to our expectations like other places we have stayed at in Hythe, very poor....More

How to get there
To reach Hythe by car, take Junction 11 on the M20 motorway then follow the signs towards the town centre. As you approach the town, follow the one way system (A259 direction Folkestone/town centre) to the left. You will pass a Sainsburys and a BP petrol station. Look out for a set of pedestrian traffic lights, just before the lights, indicate right into Stade Street. Follow the road across the canal bridgeto towards the sea front. Park by 118 Stade Street on the right hand side of the road. By foot follow the footpath adjacent to 118 which will open out onto 3 old fishermans’ cottages. Minty Cottage is on the right and is number 120. Please contact me upon booking for key safe instructions.
