Ashby de la Zouch was a short drive away. an attractive town with castle ruins. We visited Calke Abbey, The National Memorial Arboretum and the Space Centre near Leicester.

Our Georgian farmhouse is tucked away in the heart of the National Forest of Leicestershire. Fantastic rambling footpaths with instant access the Georgian farmhouse. National Trust Historic & Heritage Sites all within a 10 minute journey by car. For the Children, Conkers is a 120 acres of outdoor & indoor playzone with interactive exhibits. we are a perfect location for Events being held at the NEC and Donnington Park. We are 1 mile out of Packington Village with a pleasant walking distance to visit the local Pub (Bull & Lion) which serves food and traditional Ales. We also have a wonderful village shop which is the hub of the community that sells all local produce.
Getting around
We are just a 10 minute journey to East Midlands Airport and 25 minute journey to Birmingham International Airport along with Birmingham international train Station. Tamworth Station would be a 15 minute drive down the A42 which is only 2 miles from the property making us easy access to the motorway network.
