Budle Lodge, located in the grounds of Budle Hall is a charming 3 bedroom (2 king and 1 twin) property, with spacious living area and fireplace. The lodge is 3/4 star accommodation, has its own private garden and parking, and boasts stunning views of Budle Bay across to Holy Island. The property is suitable for families, friends and couples.

Our lovely lodge is just a short 5 minute walk to the beautiful sands of Budle Bay beach, from the beach there are spectacular views of Holy Island and castle. The village of Bamburgh can be reached from the beach, here you will find a magnificent castle and several places to eat, this walk takes approximately an hour and a quarter.

The A1 is a short drive away (approximately 6 minutes) and leads to the ancient market town of Alnwick (South) or to the Border town of Berwick-Upon-Tweed (North).

Perfect location with beautiful views and beaches near by. Good facilities. Lovely hosts who went the extra mile with a luxurious food hamper on arrival. We all had a wonderful time - including the dogs. Thank you.

About the neighbourhood
Bamburgh has a good selection of places to eat. A couple of the restaurants take bookings and it would be worth while doing this early as they tend to book out (particularly the Mizen, the Potted Lobster and the White Swan at Warenford).

The village of Bamburgh is just one mile from Budle Lodge, Bamburgh boasts a beautiful castle and sandy beaches, both of which can be walked to from the Lodge. To walk to Bamburgh via the beach you cross over the road from the Lodge and follow the public footpath sign, this will take roughly an hour.

Budle is roughly a twenty-five minute drive to the towns of Alnwick and Berwick.
Getting around
Bamburgh village is a 1 mile drive from the Lodge, it can be walked to via the road or on the beach. Here you will find a beautiful castle, miles of sandy beaches, the Grace Darling museum and several cafes and restaurants. Bamburgh can also be reached via bus (X18).

Five minutes drive from Bamburgh is the seaside village of Seahouses, here you can take a trip to the Farne Islands and spot seals and puffins, or simply sit at the harbour and enjoy some fish and chips.

Holy Island is approximately a 25 minute drive away from the Lodge, where there is a wonderfully historic castle and priory. Please be mindful of tide crossing times!

Getting Here By Car
Our post code is NE69 7AJ.
We are just over one mile from Bamburgh. Drive out of Bamburgh keeping the church on your right and the Grace Darling Museum on your left. Up the long hill and about 400m down the other side where the road starts to flatten turn left into the driveway which is marked with two luminescent stripes round a tree on the left.

From Waren Mill drive towards Bamburgh for about a mile, go past the crossroads with some barn conversions on the right. 100 yards later turn right at the two striped luminescent strips round the tree on the right.

Please note satnav sometimes locates to the Budle Sands barn conversions near us. We are approximately 100m along the main road towards Bamburgh from these conversions, on the right. Look out for the reflective...
