Interaction with guests
I will personally welcome all guests unless you are arriving late and I am unable to be there but I will text over the keybox code prior to arrival, plus I am available should guests need any assistance. I do a quick intro to the Cottage, show guests where everything is and where the Utility Room is. There is a file in there for guests which gives info about the property, travel, local amenties, etc., plus I am always available for any queries. There is also a lot of leaflets etc., on local activities and places to visit.

Have just spent long weekend over New Year in Vault Cottage with husband and two friends. The apartment is exactly as described, well equiped with good quality furnishings, warm and comfortable. Belford is a quiet village but has advantage of only a few minutes from main A1. There is a large CO-OP with plenty of choice & it has a free cash machine which we found useful.The Black Swan pub opposite the apartment serves tasty pub meals had great atmosphere & the staff were really friendly. About the neighbourhood
Belford is located just off the A1 main road, in the centre of rural Northumberland, between Berwick upon Tweed (15 miles) and Alnwick (15miles). Ideally situated for exploring the Northumberland coastal area and the Cheviot Hills, slightly further afield, are Edinburgh, the Borders and Tyne & Wear, only an hour's drive away and it has excellent bus and rail links.
Northumberland boasts many attractions and activities for all ages, allowing for both relaxation and adventure, it also has an excellent selection of family friendly country pubs and restaurants.
Both Berwick Upon Tweed and Alnwick have a selection of good quality shopping, supermarkets, sport centres and local facilities.

We are about a mile from the main A1, ideal when travelling by car and there is a very good bus service which stopd about 100 yards up the road, can be seen from the Cottage, for travelling north to Berwick and south to Alnwick, plus the coastal bus to Bamburgh/Seahouses.

Guests always receive an email from me about a week prior to arrival giving direction to Belford and how to find us. There is parking directly outside in bays and there are lots of free parking in the Market Place across the road.
