Beautifully converted in 2015 this stone cottage features open plan living with beams on show, two large bedrooms and a lovely tiled bathroom with walk-in shower. All rooms are on the ground floor level. There's private parking and a private seating area.Located in Milfield, near Wooler in the heart of the North Northumberland countryside, the cottage is wonderfully situated to explore the rural treasures of castles and countryside, but is within easy reach of the 'honeypot' sites of Bamburgh, Seahouses, Alnwick and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. The cottage has all the usual home comforts: LED TV, Heating, Log burner, Dishwasher, Fridge, Freezer, Washing Machine, Microwave - and has electric cooking. All linen is provided. Wonderful Quiet Accomodation

Lovely spacious cottage in rural location. Spotless with a few nice touches such as a bottle of wine nibbles ice creams and cake Close to beautiful countryside walks but was about 30 mins to Bamburgh. A pub within 2 minutes walking distance served excellent pub...More

What a welcome

The cottage was very well appointed with welcome gifts, games, jigsaws, books etc. We were provided with a list of eating places as well as leaflets about local places to visit. Can recommend this cottage- so quiet and relaxing.

Milfield is nicely central to North Northumberland. Whether you want to visit the coast or a market town or walk in the hills - each is just a short drive away. Locally, there's the National Park and Cheviot Hills, the attractions of Ford & Etal, which include a working cornmill, steam light railway and a castle, and plenty of lovely walks. A few miles to the north is the Scottish Border and a short drive to Kelso, a pretty cobbled street Scottish town.
