A Brewers Fayre pub is just a five minute walk up the road and provides a play area for children as well as a good range of pub food. Two golf courses nearby and of course the orchard provides a great area to practice your chipping! If you like history, we have plenty of that here and we encourage our guests to look at some of the fine examples of Victorian Farm buildings set around a large courtyard. Whether you're looking for a weekend get together with friends, or a longer break with family, Manor Farm provides a perfect getaway in a semi rural location near to some superb local attractions including Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Sundown Adventure Land, Sherwood Pines, Sherwood Forest, Hodsock Priory and further a field you can spend the day in the Peak District, visit York, Harrogate and Leeds. Using our previous experience of Holiday Lettings and events management we are confident we can offer you a fantastic stay here in Manor Farm, whatever the occasion. The views from all the rooms are beautiful. You can appreciate the Victorian Model Farm buildings, which take in the Dove cote and the fields beyond and also across the front lawns with open aspect views of fields and land belonging to Hermeston Hall. Yorkshire/Nottinghamshire is definitely 'on the map' and a visit to 'God's Own Country' as named by locals, really is a must. Put that together with the rolling hills of the Peak District, the flatness of Lincolnshire and the lively cities of Sheffield, Nottingham and Leeds nearby, Accommodation: The farm is quirky and quintessentially English, with comfort and character rolled into one. The entrance hall is grand and sets the atmosphere for this large Victorian home. There a three reception rooms; a dinning room which seats up to 16 guests, a large dinning kitchen a lounge and a sitting room. The kitchen is perfect for preparing meals and socialising at the same time. There is a table which can seat up to eight and also double doors leading onto an patio, ideal for alfresco dinning - BBQ provided. Appliances include electric cooker, a range, microwave, plus a fridge freezer. kettle, toaster and a good selection of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. The lounge has the original fireplace (we provide your first basket of logs!), a flat screen, freeview TV, and DVD player. The front sitting room provides a quieter place to retreat to with terrific views of the front lawn. Pre dinner drinks, board games and long chats into the night have been some of the activities in this room. There is also a downstairs washroom and access to a washing machine.. On the first floor there are two family rooms (one ensuite) with a double and single bed in each and a further ensuite double room. A twin room and a further room with bunk beds. There is also a family bathroom with overhead shower. On the second floor is a double room and a twin room. A cot and highchair are also available for our younger guests and we also have a vast array of toys and DVDs for your use. Other facilities include a 'Man Cave' with a FULL size snooker table, plus a bar area, fridge, light up Juke Box ping pong table and darts! The orchard also provides a superb picnic and BBQ area. Outdoor climbing frame and swings are on the front lawn, we request however that children are supervised as we cannot accept any responsibility for injuries. Over the years we have been able to assist with family reunions and birthday parties so whatever the reason for your stay here we are able to recommend local caterers for dining as well as good local restaurants nearby. The house can be set up as you need it in terms of bedrooms and of course over the Christmas period we bring in trees and trim up the house for the festive season. Unfortunately we cannot promise snow but we can say that Santa has always visited us using the open fireplace as his route in!! We hope to welcome you very soon! More

We stayed at Manor Farm as a big family of 14. It was plenty big enough for all of us. All the rooms have so much space. To note the two rooms at the top of the house have quite steep stairs to access. The hot tub was a real hit with all the family. There is so much to do around this area ( days out) you will be spoilt for choice. There is a fantastic pub within walking distance and it has to be the best pub we have been tonin years. The staff were amazing and the food great. Really reasonably priced. The house is in need of some work but this is expected of an old house. We all had the best hoilday.

This was our final destination on a treasure hunt, to hopefully have had at the very least a hot drink. However no dairy free/vegan alternatives to cows milk, no hot soup. Staff with a ‘can’t be bothered attitude’. Messy and dirty tables. My family had drinks and two slices of shortcake for £16.10. Apparently the taste was poor and watery.

Hired the Manor for my husband suprise party. Perfect venue, perfect setting, perfect hosts. Beautiful place all decor in keeping with the period of the property. Host Abi is very passionate about maintaining the character and the history of the house which is lovely. More than enough room to party and no worry of being too loud!! All bedrooms excellent. The 'man cave'was very popular with the boys while the girls spent time in the hot tub. Facilities in the kitchen were second to non. Also had an afternoon tea here which again was excellent. In the summer sat in the grounds would be bliss. Excellent in every way...Would deffinately recommend to anyone looking for either a gathering of friends or relaxing stay just to escape.

Wow Wow Wow. Just returned from our weekend away, what a fantastic venue for a family get together. From the open log fire to the hot tub, full size tennis court, table tennis & 8 person hot tub then there's the man cave with the full size snooker table, dart board, and bar along with more board games around the house to use than you'd find at Toys r Us. Abi we couldn't have asked for anymore what a fantastic weekend thanks for the Prosecco & Chocolates on arrival, the only thing you couldn't arrange was the weather but that made sitting around that log fire even more enjoyable. The dining room was a fantastic room for all to sit around eating, drinking, chatting & laughing it's not very often we can all gather together like this and your place made it a very memorable occasion that we will remember and talk about for a long time. Thanks again

What an amazing weekend at an amazing house! The owner was so helpful all the way through the booking process, responding quickly to emails and giving information and advice on what’s around locally. The house itself is just unbelievable. We were a family of 13, a mix of adults and kids and there was just something for everyone. The weekend was for my husbands 50th and was a family event. We loved the hot tub, playing in the games room, and had a lovely buffet in the dining room. Would definately recommend and would certainly go back! The house has everything you need, even slow cookers! Couldn’t fault a thing. Thank you so much!

I booked this house for bank holiday weekend for my 10 year wedding anniversary to spend with my hubby, children, family and friends, and it was perfect. We had the most amazing time and the weather was scorching which was incredible. I would often walk out somewhere and wonder where everyone was, we never felt on top of each other, there was so much space and something for everyone. I lost my husband to the man cave with the snooker table and dart board, i loved the hot tub (when i could get the kids out), and the kids loved the climbing frame, the trampoline, the tennis court, the snooker table, the sheer amount of space they had to run around. The happy anniversary sign and bottle of fizz on arrival was such a thoughtful gesture from the owners, thankyou so much. The wifi was the usp for my 14 year old, my 5 year old loved the toy kitchen and my 10 year old loved playing with the board games. Everyone said how perfect it was. My sister wants to book for her 10 year wedding anniversary (though that's 7 years off lol) and my mum has been looking to book for christmas though we know you are booked for this year. We will definitely be back, it was just perfect.

Thank you for your review Kate! You certainly brought the weather with you and we’re so pleased that Manor Farm had something for everyone - no matter the age!!! As you say the house and grounds are large enough that you certainly don’t feel on top of each other and you can certainly find a quiet corner to relax and chill! I hope we see you all again before your sisters anniversary in 7 years time!
