Holiday Rental House
Little Burston is a beautifully converted barn set within 110 acres of our own private farmland close to Dulverton, Exmoor National park and Wimbleball Lake. It has its own access drive and private parking. It is a peaceful rural retreat surrounded by nature and wildlife. It has a large private garden with swing, netted trampoline and football net with direct access onto the farm with several walks - map provided. At the main house guests have access to a heated swimming pool (open beginning May to end of September), hard tennis court and games room with table tennis and gym rings. There is a small well stocked trout pond for you to fish. The pond has a rowing boat and kayak for you to use - safety jackets are in the cottage. The pond is quite deep so care should be taken with children. ...Little Burston is a beautifully converted barn set within 110 acres of our own private farmland close to Dulverton, Exmoor National park and Wimbleball Lake. A place to unwind and relax or to get out into nature. We welcome well behaved dogs - maximum 2 but as the farm is stocked with sheep/cattle for most of the year we ask that when walking in these areas dogs are on leads. There is a wooded area without stock which allows dogs to walk off lead. We like to keep Little Burston really clean and we would therefore ask dog owners to respect this if you are bringing your dog. I leave an information pack in the cottage wth lots of suggestions about where to eat, walk and fun things to do. I charge £10 per dog per night payable to me during your stay. Email me with any queries.More

It’s not a party venue as only sleeps 6 and in a rural location. Perfect for a small get together. Car essential. I charge extra for dogs £10 per dog per night Normally the cleaning fee is £50 but I have increased it as we are currently doing enhanced cleaning due to Covid using 2 cleaners. Once safe I will reduce to £50.

About the neighbourhood
The cottage is set in 110 acres of private farmland. The farm has red deer roe deer badgers rabbits foxes and many other small mammals plus an abundance of bird life. We leave scores of leaflets in the cottage to tell you about what's good to see and visit. Dulverton is a pretty village 3 miles away with a small supermarket with cash machine, post office in case the machine isn't working, pharmacy, fruit and veg, deli, bakery, butcher and a host of small shops and places to eat. Bampton also has many shops - the best butcher and we think the best fish and chips. To eat we like the Bridge in Dulverton, Woods is excellent but a bit pricey, The anchor is your closest pub but the food is variable though the location is lovely.
Getting around
To see the sights you need to drive or there are lots of great cycle ways but exmoor is very hilly. The nearest station is Tiverton Parkway and there are buses from there to Tiverton. Local taxis are very good but the distances are great so they are expensive.
