On booking your holiday with us you will be given information on local activities in case you wish to pre-plan and book in advance of your stay. Details regarding location and gaining access to the property will be sent to you in the week prior to your arrival.

There is a key safe by the front door to enable you to have a flexible arrival time and you can arrive any time after the check in time of 4 pm. Instructions on using the key safe will be emailed in advance of your stay. Our housekeeper lives immediately next door and is the first point of contact in the unlikely event that you experience any problems during your stay.

Porlock is situated in West Somerset, 6 miles from Minehead, 28 miles from Taunton and 30 miles from Barnstaple.
Exit the M5 motorway at Bridgwater J24 continuing on the A39 or exit the M5 at Taunton J25 following the A358 to Williton, follow A39 to Porlock

Directions to find Maxwelton: if you follow the maps to the centre of Porlock village, (assuming you are coming from the Minehead direction) continue through the village. The road forks at McCoys Corner - bear left up the hill and you will see the Ship Inn on your left. Immediately next to the Ship Inn car park there is a little lane (quite a sharp turning), go up the lane and Exmoor Holidays Maxwelton and Bracken is the first large pink house you see on your right.
