Our holiday cottage in the heart of the ancient harbour town of Watchet, boasting a colourful maritime history dating back over two thousand years. Nestled between Exmoor National Park and the Quantock Hills it is a cosy cottage for couples or families to enjoy the town and surrounding area with all local shops, real ale pubs, harbour, beach and the West Somerset Steam Railway on your doorstep. We stayed whilst covid 19 restrictions were in place so the nearby pubs and shops required planning to visit. No mask = no entry. However the cottage was spot on and as it was in a small gated area felt very secure. It has a...More

Lovely clean cottage easily found from the instructions close to shops harbour and train. Despite the cold weather cottage remained warm. Tiny garden but good local park, beaches and trails to walk the dogs. Would certainly visit again.

Fantastic place .it was just what we wanted .central for everything .well equipped .loved the washer dryer .with 2 16 year old boys that loved swimming and fishing it was great .many thanks Neil

The cottage is right in the centre of Watchet with plenty of pubs and cafes within walking distance. It was well furnished and comfortable and had everything we needed. It was great to be able to bring the dog. All the booking arrangements worked well...More

We booked this as accomodation when we we going to go to Candlelight in Dunster.. Great location, parking for cottage very good. Lovely pub next door for meals. Only complaint is seating (couches). Very hard and uncomfortable. Couldnt spend long on them reading etc.

Central town location in a quite mews with restaurants, pubs and shops very close and all on the level. Esplanade and Marina less than a 100m from cottage and nearest dog friendly beach around 250m away Watchet Railway Station is also just a short walk from the cottage giving access to 28 miles of heritage steam train travel through beautiful countryside and coastline Plenty of walks for a gentle stroll or a more adventurous trek, with the lovely “Mineral Line” path just across from the cottage and the National Coastal Path also passing through the town
Getting around
With 20 miles of preserved steam railway on your doorstep it's easy to travel along the coast to Dunster and Minehead or venture up through the Quantocks and take one of the many station trail walks to local pubs for a leisurely lunch and let the steam train bring you back to Watchet
