We had a lovely time. The dog loved the massive garden. Beautiful views from the top of the garden. Well equipped house and loads of space for us 5 adults. Right on the edge of the village so a 10 minute walk to all the shops, cafes and restaurants. Will come again.

As the heading suggests, the location is stunning....
As the heading suggests, the location is stunning. The land on which the property stands is beautiful and the dogs loved it, as did we. A short walk to the historic kangaroo valley village with lots of yummy cafes and boutique stores. A short drive to the coast and the nearby town of Berry, as well as some wineries and walking trails. Sadly the walking trail in kangaroo valley has fox bait at the moment so didn’t risk taking the dogs. But this was well signed. The property description itself is a little misleading in its detail. When I included the filter 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, it came up in the search. It is in fact 2.5 bathrooms with the 2nd bathroom being an outhouse which was cold, outdated and outside! So really only 1 bathroom which wasn’t what we were looking for. It also said hot tub which was in fact a spa bath although that wasn’t an issue. The kitchen wasn’t clean although I can’t fault the very clean and luxurious bed linen. It felt like sleeping on a cloud. Lovely. The bath towels, while plentiful, were small and not fluffy. In summary, the location, the land, the bed covers and the fireplace made the holiday (the company was ok too but nothing to do with the property listing!). For the price, little luxuries would have meant alot for a small investment, but mostly the cleanliness of the kitchen was expected and not delivered. We let the property owner know so the next renters could enjoy a higher standard and he was very receptive to the feedback.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Secret Garde...
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Secret Garden. The house was cozy and equipped with everything we needed, grounds and views were stunning. Fantastic location, short stroll to local village and beautiful surroundings to enjoy.

We had a wonderful 3 night break at the Secret Garden. Relaxing environment for our family (inc 2 teenagers and Grandparents)
Absolutely love the outlook at the back of the house of the wonderful valley.
The firepit and BBQ setting also was fabulous even on the super cold nights.
Extremely comfortable beds also made the whole trip extremely enjoyable.

The property was excellent for our 2 dogs & they enjoyed the freedom to explore and run around. The garden was fun, a little overgrown & ponds were trouble for our retrievers, the hose was well used. Was great to sit around the fire under the stars. The house was lovely and had everything we needed, except for the smell of mould throughout, especially in the bedrooms which would stop me from rebooking this property.
