Lulu Hill Cottage is an original heritage listed weatherboard cottage located next to the historic Barrengarry store in Kangaroo Valley. The cottage has been lovingly restored and renovated, the internal weatherboard walls have been painted in crisp white and the wide original honey floorboards give a feeling of warmth and comfort. All three bedrooms have been decorated individually and both bathrooms are newly renovated . Two of the bedrooms have king beds and the third has a queen bed . There is an enclosed verandah/sunroom with a trundle bed although this is connected to the lounge room so is not terribly private. The kitchen has stainless steel bench tops and new Bosch appliances, along with everything youll need for preparing gourmet meals. There is a Nespresso machine with enough pods for your morning coffee, food processor, hand held mixer, stick blender, microwave, slow cooker, juicer and every pot, platter and bowl youll need. The pantry is stocked with some basics but please replace for the next guests if you use up.
The loungeroom has plush navy velvet lounges and velvet beanbags for extra seating and there is a new Frame TV with Foxtel. There is free wifi and plenty of heating. Fireplace is coming but for now we have gas heating. The bedrooms and lounge all have ceiling fans for the warmer months. The lounge room is also air conditioned .We have a well stocked library with a wide and eclectic variety of books for you to snuggle up with along with lots of snuggly throw rugs. The enclosed verandah is a sun trap,with a gorgeous squishy feather lounge to sit with your morning coffee. We have a huge range of DVDS and several games for those rainy days
The main bathroom has a large shower and white/grey terrazzo tiles and floorboards, heated towel rail and heated light. Bathroom two is done in stone and timber with a over bath shower, heated floors and heated towel rail. Bathroom two has dual access from two of the bedrooms.
The back of the house has an undercover verandah with a comfortable outdoor lounge setting and dining table. There is a wood fired pizza oven which is also great for roasts and bread. There is a firepit and some firewood (best to bring some of your own) for the colder nights. The backyard borders open fields to the west, and we also border the backyard of our neighbour The Worlds Best Pies. Pop in for a coffee or one of their delicious pies and sit on the verandah and watch the world go by. The shop has been operating continuously since the 1860s and walking inside, you will feel like you are stepping back in time. They also have a selection of homewares , jams, pickles , chutneys and sauces and some old fashioned lollies for those with a sweet tooth.
Kangaroo Valley sits between the Southern Highlands and The Shoalhaven area of the NSW south coast and is a perfect place to base yourself for exploration of the area. As you wind down the mountain and into the valley, you will be greeted by picture postcard vistas of lush green paddocks, dairy cows and rainforests. The Valley is surrounded by the majestic and dramatic escarpment where the sunlight creates beautiful views for photographers and artists. Go for a swim in the river or hire kayaks and canoes. Whatever you do in our beautiful valley, you will come home feeling rested and rejuvenated. We look forward to welcoming you soon!

* Please note a $40 booking fee applies to all bookings (non refundable).
* Special is not available on long weekends or Christmas/New Year period. To take advantage of the special please book the nights you would like to stay and we will amend the pricing on your booking before you receive a payment request.
* A security bond of $500 is processed as a credit card preauthorisation with all bookings.
