Behind the house is a 12 metre swimming pool with another bathroom, laundry and a Balinese Bale which backs onto a lush paddock.
There is a magnificent large covered deck off the lounge room with plenty of daybeds and BBQ. This is the perfect spot to sit and look at the incredible views. The gardens surrounding the house are gorgeous and although a little wilder than years ago, still show evidence of a garden which was once open for public display.
In the kitchen there is a Nespresso POD Coffee machine with some PODs provided, which is our gift to you on arrival.
Rathkells farm has plenty of river frontage for guests to use and is perfect for swimming and kayaking over summer.
Rathkell's farm is also home of the Love Shack which sleeps 2 guests. Although the houses are far enough away from each other for privacy , they are perfect to book together for a family group of 14 guests.Rathkell's is a working cattle farm, you enter the property via cattle grate and drive along a private unsealed road.
This property is on a working cattle farm - strictly no pets allowed.
Rathkells Pavilion is designed to accommodate family groups and we have a strict no party policy. Any disruption to neighbouring properties will result in immediate eviction with no refund. Any damages or extra cleaning costs will be charged to the credit card provided for the security bond.

Amazing Home, Amazing Property - Photos don't do it justice!
Wow. What an amazing property. The location is amazing - 3 minutes north of the village of Kangaroo Valley - high on a mountain with valley views and tranquility all round. House was exceptionally clean and met all of our needs - a group of 9 women and we all got our own bed. The in ground pool was a great place to hang out and the living areas spacious and well kept. Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great retreat for a group of people.

I couldn't recommend this piece of paradise more highly. Truly blissful.
We travelled as a group and stayed in the Woodshed and Love Shack because the Pavillion was already booked and we had fantastic stay. From the moment I arrived I felt relaxed. This is one of the most beautiful locations I have ever been to. The Woodshed house is beautiful and elegantly furnished. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and the bathroom is luxurious with Crabtree & Evelyn products. Eating our breakfast on the terrace each morning surrounded by trees and a glimpse of the escarpment was truly blissful. We drove down to the river on the property (3 minutes) and set up our chairs and swam in the freshwater river whllst the kids swung from the rope into the deeper section. As it got hotter we placed our chairs in the shallow part of the river and drank wine in the later afternoon. We were truly fortunate to see a cow give birth as we left the river in the late afternoon.
The Woodshed, Love Shack and Pavillion are all superb, luxurious, and comfortable houses offering privacy and relaxation. This is one of the most serene and picturesque places in Australia and only a 10 minute drive into the quaint Kangaroo Valley township. I'll be back every year!

Beautiful house, beautiful location
I rented the Pavilion with a closeT group of friends for a Christmas in July weekend getaway.
The team at Kangaroo Valley Getaways were extremely helpful in answering all my questions prior to the stay. The key pick up on Friday night was straightforward and we arrived to the fire turned on and a toasty welcoming house. The accommodation is great - king size beds for the couples and bunk beds for the singles. Bathrooms are well appointed and the cooking facilities were very good. The outdoor deck was put to a lot of use and we would have used the swimming if it wasn't the middle of winter.
Kangaroo Valley is one of the prettiest spots in NSW lots to do and see in the surrounding area.
Highly recommended.
