Sweet Indeed!
Gorgeous accommodation. Everything was thought of (we hosted a Christmas lunch here). Everything we needed and cozily set up. We even met the resident wombat, saw plenty of birdlife and kangaroos. A 10 min walk to the Hampden Bridge and a short walk into town. So secluded and we felt like no one was around. Plenty of room for kids to kick a ball. It was hot upstairs but all we had to do was turn the air con on and it was perfect. Thankyou for hosting us.

Temperature extremes
It's a nice place in a convenient location. But inside, we experienced both extreme cold and extreme heat, depending on the time of day. Each extreme was quite unpleasant. This cottage is unsuitable for infants due to these extreme temperatures.

Perfect position!
We so enjoyed our third stay at Sweet Gum Bend - it feels like it's in the middle of nowhere, yet it's close enough to the village to walk and enjoy all it has to offer (including the pub!) Kangaroo Valley Accommodation went above and beyond in their service too!

Great cottage close to the village
We stayed here for 3 nights & loved this little cottage. It is set on a large secluded block close to town, looking over a dam & with views of escarpment from the bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils & pots & pans, and we cooked our own dinners every night. There was even a coffee machine. The nights were cool, but there was a good gas heater in the living area & oil heaters in the bedrooms. Definitely recommended!

Great place to stay
Beautiful little cottage. Very well equipped. Beds are very comfortable and we loved falling asleep to the night sounds of the country. We enjoyed the company of kangaroos on the lawn in the evening and the song of the frogs from the pond. The cottage has a large gas heater which seems to warm the whole cottage but just in case, there were also oil heaters in the bedrooms and the main bedroom also had an electric blanket. The bath and shower are small, but more than adequate. The cottage is not super luxury, but it is clean, has TV, DVD, CD and board games, and is most welcoming. We will definitely return and recommend to our family and friends.
