Located in the heart of Kangaroo Valley Rivermist is a gorgeous six bedroom country homestead located on 5 private acres with frontage to the Kangaroo River and is only a short stroll to the restaurants, cafes, shops and hotel in Kangaroo Valley Village.
The home has a lovely northerly aspect with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The huge verandah running the length of the house is a great place to sit back and take in the views while enjoying a cold drink or cooking up a meal on the BBQ.
The open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area has huge French doors that open up onto the verandah inviting the amazing views in. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need to cook up a storm and the 12 seater dining suite has enough room to accommodate a large crowd.
The lounge room has comfy leather lounges, a large TV with foxtel and a wood fire to curl up in front of with a glass of wine and a good book or to reminisce on old times.
Rivermist offers six generous and beautifully appointed bedrooms. All six of the bedrooms have queen size beds, each has an ensuite and flat screen tv. Most of the bedrooms have French doors opening up onto the decks and verandahs taking in the spectacular views.
This delightful property offers the very best of what Kangaroo Valley has to offer right on the doorstep of the village. Rivermist is the perfect destination for your next getaway with family and friends.

After a very enjoyable stay here two years ago, our group of 9 returned for another delightful stay in this excellent accommodation. It is conveniently located in the middle of the village down a laneway, but it is very private! The house is tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean and well maintained, exceptionally well equipped and very spacious, with the unusual benefit that each bedroom has its own large en-suite. There are also three very comfortable living rooms plus a lovely long and wide verandah which looks over pastures to the distant hills. Everything is in place for a very comfortable stay in a homely atmosphere.

Sensational place
A truely magnificent place to stay. perfect for six couples. Has everything. Although no more than 100m from the road you cannot hear a thing and you wouldn't even know the road was there. Fantastic rural setting for a relaxing weekend.

Wonderful accommodation
Our group of 10 enjoyed a delightful stay in this wonderful accommodation. While it is conveniently located in the middle of the village down a laneway, it is so private you could have been in the bush! The house is tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean and well maintained, exceptionally well equipped and spacious, with the unusual benefit that each bedroom has a large en-suite attached. There are also three very comfortable living rooms plus a lovely long and wide verandah. Everything is in place for a very comfortable stay in a homely atmosphere.
Our only complaint was that when we went to light the barbecue about 7pm on our first night, the gas bottle was completely empty! Disappointingly, our call to the manager was dealt with in an offhanded and complacent manner. Without any apology or offer to assist, we were told go to the service station and get a new bottle ourselves. Luckily the service station was not too far away and still open. An efficient manager would not only ensure that the gas bottle is full but that there is also a spare available.

Perfect location
We had a blissful weekend at Rivermist. The location was perfect. We enjoyed a decent walk to the bridge, coffee in the Main Street, locally baked bread for breakfast. Oh and the property backs onto the creek. The house was appointed with all that we needed and was pleasantly warm in the evenings. In the day the north facing outlook meant we could bask in the sun and open the French doors as if it was a summers day! The service from Kangaroo Valley Getaways made us feel welcome.

Grand House, very relaxing
Awesome house with 6 bedrooms and 6 ensuites.Living rooms to burn and great kitchens. Very relaxing with a short walk, 100metres to breakfast, restaurants and the pub. The grounds are immaculate with the pet Alpacas and the passing wombats.
Will definitely recommend and will definitely return.

Rivermist a must!
Superb large house in the centre of Kangaroo Valley, walking distance to shops and restaurants and yet positioned so you felt private and separate.
All bedrooms and bathrooms were large and comfortable. We were a group of 12 adults and the house was large enough so that individuals could do their own thing or join the group.
We spent most of our time on the back verandah enjoying the view and really relaxing. Thanks for a great weekend.
