Tatiaras ample living space includes a large lounge room upstairs and another downstairs, both with large flat-screen TVs, DVD, and comfortable lounges; allowing for separate entertainment spaces. Upstairs, the large open-plan kitchen, dining, and sitting area, complete with a slow combustion wood fire, leads out to the large, child-secure verandah. The verandah provides a furnished outdoor living area overlooking the pool, spa, and BBQ area; with expansive views across bush and farmland to the escarpment.
With ducted reverse cycle air conditioning and slow combustion wood heater indoors; and large 6-burner hooded BBQ, heated pool, spa, and large furnished entertainment area outdoors, you are assured of a comfortable stay at any time of the year.
Guests are also welcome to enjoy the gardens and orchard, and the large lawn areas in the front and back yards.
OUTSIDE pets are welcome at Tatiara (with approval and outside only, please). Please let us know at time of booking -
STRICTLY NO PARTIES! Please be considerate of neighbours and keep noise to a minimum. Tatiara is designed to accommodate family groups and we have a strict no party policy. Any disruption to neighbouring properties will result in immediate eviction with no refund. Any damages or extra cleaning costs will be charged to the credit card provided for the security bond.

Location
This property is approximately 1.5 km from the centre of the Village; an easy stroll to the cafes, bakeries, arts and crafts shops, and markets. The Kangaroo River is just half a kilometer away, and is a popular spot for canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. The area is well-known for bush-walking, bird-watching, bike trails, fishing, and horse-riding. The Kangaroo Valley golf course, known as one of the most enjoyable and beautiful golf courses in the southern highlands, is close by.

House itself - well set out and spacious for our large family group. On arrival it all looked amazing - views stunning and in a very quiet location. BUT on closer inspection - Cleanliness inside and out very minimal. But once we spent about an hour cleaning very habitable.
All beds, linens, towels, pool towels, tea towels, cot and high chair all clean and well maintained and well provided
OUTSIDE POOL AREA - Pool itself was sparkling and clean and well fenced and very safe for our children. Spa was supposedly cleaned but it was murky, grimy on the rim of water and couldn't even see the bottom - Outdoor pool lounging furniture damaged but seats and table were in plentiful supply. Decking was rickety and leftover pistacho shells were an added surprise
DOWNSTAIRS UNIT lovely and well spaced out and has plenty of space and furniture- but everything needed a good clean. Ensuite toilet had a leak, bathroom window had cracks. Needed to check all cutlery and crockery before use .
UPSTAIRS UNIT - plenty of rooms and again very well spaced out with plenty of furniture , well stocked with crockery and utensils..... BUT again the cleanliness was very lacking to checking all crockery and all utensils again before use, Surprise a plenty - used ear buds, long black hair in bathrooms, dirty knives found in the knife block, mould and stains on spa bath, spiders webbing inside house and dead flies on all window sills
Carpets also needed a good clean or replacing
Before booking this property PLEASE check if it is properly cleaned.
We booked with Kangaroo Valley Rentals and the staff were helpful with my concerns and issues we had.
Gardens and back yard well mainted and tidy
I would consider renting this property again ONLY if it is cleaned and maintained correctly

Excellent - nothing but good things to say about the property
Postcard scenery, beautiful and clean house (which has everything you could possibly need). It exceeded our expectations and we would definitely go back. Highly recommended property. Only a 15 minute walk in to the town centre. Great weekend getaway!
