My husband, 9 year-old daughter, 6 year-old son, and I traveled to the Poconos to go snowtubing and snowboarding at nearby Blue Mountain. We stayed for two nights. The cabin is absolutely perfect in every way. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked with anything that you may have forgotten...it's like walking right into a home that is ready to be lived in and enjoyed. It was especially cold when we visited, (about 3 degrees mid-day, below 0 in early morning), so we spent about 3 hours snowtubing at Blue Mountain, which is only about 25 minutes away by car. Then, the kids and I returned to the cabin to warm up, have lunch, play games, read by the fireplace, and watch movies. My husband went back out snowboarding in the evening. Hands down, the best part about this cabin is the soaking tub in the master bathroom. I greatly enjoyed relaxing and reading in the tub after a freezing morning on the mountain. The cabin is impeccably clean and probably the best experience I've had to date using VRBO. (My family has stayed in multiple VRBO properties over the past few years.) What you see in the photos and video is exactly what you get at the Little Bear Lodge. I can say, with confidence, that my family and I will return in future years. There is also a cabin across the street that can sleep 4-6 people, so if you had a larger family group, one family could rent Little Bear Lodge and the other family could rent the Cozy Creekside Cabin. Due to the cold temperatures, my kids and I didn't do much outdoor exploring, but I would love to return and take advantange of the outdoor grill, firepit, and large property. We did see a herd of does on top of the hill on Saturday morning, This is exactly the peaceful, warm, relaxing winter cabin that my family was looking for. I am not a skiier or snowboarder, so the highlight of my trip was enjoying the family time at this beautiful cabin.
