This cabin was a perfect location for us. We have family in the Seymour area and had friends visiting from Germany who were staying downtown Knoxville. We were right in the middle, about 12 minutes from each one. Christie was great. Any question we had, she answered/called right away. She's very attentive. We loved the old-style cabin. It was clean and cutely decorated; lots of lamps so you could leave a light on when you left. Plus, she had rope lighting on the deck and stairs to help light the way when you returned at night. Probably the only "negative" is the size of the kitchen. When the four of us were there, it was crowded trying to make eggs, coffee and toast. I wish there were more counter space (and an oven), but I don't know where you could add it. We only ate breakfast there and the other meals out, which is what we planned anyway. It was August and rained every day (high humidity and about 100 degrees) so we did not get to enjoy the grill or sitting outside on the deck, but I could see how it would be really lovely in the fall with the cooler weather and leaves changing colors. The king sized bed was very comfortable. All in all, it was great. I would come back to this property.

Seriously great stay, air worked great, small but workable kitchen. Beds were spacious and comfortable. Easy to find location lights everywhere and lock was easy to get in and out. Host was in constant contact with us. We will definitely stay again!!!

Had a conference in town but hate cities and hotel rooms so it was a pleasure to have a short drive and could sit out in the screened in porch and relax and hear cicadas and birds - just needs a hammock.

From the time you pull in its peaceful except the wonderful sounds of the birds that we don't seem to really hear in our normal routine of life.
If you have a question, just send a message to the owner and she gets right back to you. That makes a big difference when you need to know something right away.
Could not have pictured a more beautiful place when I walked in. Pictures don't quite capture the beauty of this cabin.
I'll be back and I think I'll try for a winter time get away when I do come back!
Just an amazing place to forget the hustle and bustle of life!
Thank you for everything Christie!

The property was perfectly located very close to downtown Knoxville while being up on a hilltop so you felt like you were a million miles away from the city. Although the cabin was cozy and the location was great we felt that the cabin was not cleaned for us prior to our arrival. The master bed sheets had pet hair and other stuff on them so we couldn’t even sleep on them (thank god we brought our own blankets), kitchen sink sponge/soap wand looked like someone chewed it off as a snack, grill was filthy and being the main source to cook on we were very frustrated in having to clean it before using it not to mention there were very few bristles left on the grill cleaner which shows its age and is dangerous having metal bristles fall off on to the cook surface your about to eat off of. The cabin experience could have been improved by decluttering. We found it very difficult to find space for our things when every counter top, dresser top, sink, etc was filled with decorations. The couches were filled with throw pillows and were not very comfortable; I think the springs in the seats of the couches have come loose or sank. The master bed could be replaced too as there are clearly two ruts on either side worn in by bodies from long term use. The screened in porch looked like a wind storm came through and knocked the fake plants over and blew leaves all over the floor which is how it was left for us. If you paid someone to clean this for our arrival, I suggest you have a sit down with that person because it was unacceptable. We are an extremely clean family and the cleanliness issue really put a damper on our experience. If the home was clean and decluttered our experience would have been top notch because the cabin is cute and the location is amazing. By the way, the rope lighting is a cool idea to light up the property at night, but did us no good coming on at 2am and going off during the daylight hours. This experience has the potential to be amazing and I would rent here again if these issues were resolved.
