This is a beautiful home that is perfectly located to discover the Dingle peninsula. It is well designed with a cosy split level dining room / kitchen configuration that we loved. Looking out of every window in the sitting room, you enjoy breathtaking views of the incredible and varied beauty of this place. All the highlights of this peninsula are only a short drive away; the beautiful sandy beach of Ventry is nearby and walkable; 5 mins drive away is Cruach Mharthain, an easily climbed peak with a most rewarding view on a good day. Our favourite, doing the Slea Head drive in the evening to watch the sun set behind the Blaskets is simply amazing and a must on a sunny evening.

We stayed in Ballinleague Lodge for a week in August. Our host was very helpful, lovely to talk to and very precise. The house was spotless and had all we wanted to have a comfortable, cosy stay for the week. The location I found great particularly with Covid, as Dingle is gorgeous as always, but busy, and the house was a lovely quiet place to relax. The beach nearby is beautiful and we also went to Castle Gregory for surfing and other nearby beaches for walking. There is lots to do in the area even with things closed for Covid and lots of nice places to eat or get take away. We were a family of two adults with two children. We would be happy to return and hope to do so

On arrival we were greeted with a warm hospitable welcome from the owner. The house is a home from home. It is spacious yet cosy, spotless and well equipped and organised. The rooms are light filled and airy and and very comfortable. There is a good sized garden from which to enjoy the views. This was a great house for a family holiday and we all enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The location of the house is ideal, in a tranquil, beautifully scenic setting. Its close to a gorgeous sandy beach and local village with shop, pub and restaurant. Dingle is an easy drive/taxi ride away. This is a perfect base for exploring the Dingle Peninsula and Slea Head drive. We look forward very much to going back again!

Lovely stay at this holiday home. Walking distance of beach and local pub. Though car needed to get out and about .Owner Kate was great with contact and if we needed anything - extremely helpful!!! If there were to be any criticism Having teenagers with us they missed more TV channels in the evening and the internet!! But a small complaint! Lovely comfortably placed property. Would recommend in a heartbeat .

This holiday home was exactly what we wanted, the welcome and hospitality was more then we had anticipated. It is in an excellent location for access to all parts of the peninsula, so itโ€™s super easy to get to beaches, shops, and a multitude of activities. We had come a long journey and Sarah went to trouble to accommodate our late arrival - the delicious scones and jam were a great welcome! The house was warm, bright and comfortable with a practical yet elegant flair. The rooms are perfect sized with comfortable beds, the linen is top hotel standard. We loved the easy clean surfaces, which were all spotless. Although the kitchen is very well kitted out we tended to eat out most of the time - this area has to be the food capital of Ireland! Home made, home grown - delicious food is so easy to access. We loved the lemon cake in the pottery just nearby! Even the award winning supermarket is a treat to visit. .We were enthralled by the magnificent scenery, especially where Star Wars was located, we made Island trips, sea journeys, enjoyed the beaches and the heritage sites, all nearby. We got to a fab Concert in St Johns, and had lots of traditional music nights in the pubs. We really enjoyed the golfing, both nearby, Ceann Sibeal, and in Dookes. We actually extended our stay to play Kilarney also, an easy drive. For us it was a real treat to come home to the calm and peaceful surroundings of the Lodge each night and sit out having a drink, knowing that the kids had been having a fab time also. - our only regret was that we didnโ€™t bring along the grandparents who would have adored it, so weโ€™ve discussed this with Kate and intend to book our return for 2019 bringing them also. - This house was home from home for us
