The Dingle Peninsula has one of the largest Gaeltacht (gaelic-speaking) communities in Ireland. So you'll find many of the locals are bi-lingual – speaking Irish as their mother tongue, a lovely lyrical English to their visitors, and often a mix of the two. They'll tell you “fáilte romhat isteach – you're most welcome here” in both languages – with a warmth and cadence of greeting that's unmistakable and unforgettable. Maybe it's that living culture, deep-rooted and handed-down through generations, that gives this place such a strong creative spirit. Maybe it's the simple, natural vibe that lets you slow down and go-with-the-flow. Join us and escape from it all.More

A beautiful farmhouse surrounded by unreal scenery out every window. A real gem. Two minutes drive to beautiful Ventry beach & another 2 mins to Paidi O Se’s pub. I would recommend it for young families or if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy life.

We spent a great week staying at Tigh Ui Chathain in Ventry. We were there with our two boys aged 14 and 10 and my elderly parents. The house was really well equipped in a lovely quiet location. The weather was brilliant so we could eat outside in the gardwn area. Phil was very helpful before and during our stay. It is only a 2min drive from a lovely safe clean beach and about 15 mins from Dingle town. Would intend to retun again sometime soon and fully recommend it as a location.

Firstly we have stayed in many holiday homes over the years but I must say Phil's house was immaculate when we entered. Anything we needed, Phil was on hand to help. The house is up a country lane but the views when you get there are amazing. Fantastic mountain view of Mount Eagle to the rear and a view to Ventry harbour down the lane. It is only a 2/3 minute drive to the beautiful Ventry beach and the pub and small shop and church are only a further minutes drive away. The kitchen is small but functional. The downstairs twin bedroom is big as is the main bedroom room upstairs. The two other double rooms are perfectly fine. Good quality internet, what more could the kids want!!! Good selection of saorview channels on the TV The area is so quiet and peaceful. Only the sheep in the field behind and the ducks in the neighbour's pond to be heard. Ideal for those seeking to relax and unwind. Phil's house must be the best value rental in Dingle. I'd go back at the drop of a hat.

Phil went out of her way to welcome us, and her home is extremely comfortable, immaculate, and complete with all new amenities, including good wifi. My mom and I loved the fireplace, the comfy couches and beds, large window views, and pretty wood floors. A few coins heated the house for hours (even after the timer ran down) and Phil’s big blankets kept us plenty warm overnight in September. Check your email when you arrive in town as Phil is a very attentive hostess! It’s a great spot to relax a bit outside of Dingle town.

Phil's cottage is a lovely place. Located down a quiet, if somewhat bumpy lane, the House is an old recently refurbished and well appointed farm house. Only thing to note is there is no downstairs bathroom. We didnt need it ourselves but is useful to have. All usual things in the house and views of neighbouring animals, very useful for younger guests! While the House is nice being in Kerry means getting out. You are right on Slea head drive with Ventry on a couple of minutes drive away. Ventry beach is also very close. Phil is a great host, attentive but not overly so. All in all we would thoroughly recommend Phil's place

Delighted to find this house as We have come to this peninsula for many years. We loved our stay in this house. The house was lovely, fresh and clean and well set up. The views were lovely of Mount Eagle out the back and ventry bay to the front. Nice picnic bench out back if needed. Really peaceful place. The downstairs bedroom had two single beds which was handy for our two young children as it is beside the sitting room. Very handy having tumble dryer and electricity included in price. House great value and owners were great. Very welcoming and friendly. Beach only a few minutes drive and beautiful slea head and so much more. Wine strand and ventry beach lovely spots. We will return again.

We had a great stay here boosted by some lovely weather. The cottage itself is lovely with plenty of space and comfy beds and the added bonus of two showers. We were traveling as a group of five with me, my husband, my mum and a four and two year old and we were all very pleased. The dishwasher was a nice treat from usual washing up too. The lounge/dining area is spacious. There is heating which you pay to use so we left it as we were on the cusp of needing it but would recommend taking a jumper etc as it is wood/tiles throughout so naturally a little cooler. Phil is a charming owner and very accommodating and attentive. The area is beautiful and scenic. The beach we went to at Ventry was a short drive but you could easily have walked and is so nice and quiet. There's lovely restaurants at Ventry and further back into Dingle which is a good sized town with plenty to see. If you're into running, the half and full marathon look fun and a have a good crowd though you've got almost a year till it is next on! All in all a lovely place to come and you really feel like you're in a different world. A great place to relax.

We had a great time in this lovely home, which was spotless and spacious, with a view down to Ventry Bay. It is so peaceful you could hear a pin drop at night, yet not isolated. We enjoyed sitting out at night under the stars and lighting a fire in the cosy living room. Great location with lovely bedrooms/bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. Phil and her family are friendly, welcoming and helpful and live just down the lane. It was a great house to stay in.
