Situated on the edge of Ashburton, a stannary town and gateway to Dartmoor, this newly created oasis gives you peace, quiet and privacy, a rural aspect and a beautifully designed space to enjoy, with a private garden, level access, under floor heating, wheelchair friendly, and off street parking. The Potting Shed is a brand new building in our garden on the edge of the National Park in the unique town of Ashburton. The Potting Shed overlooks Place woods and is a secluded eco space designed and built by us with thermostatically controlled under floor heating, powered by an air source heat pump and Morso wood burning stove. In the summer, open both bi-fold doors to experience birdsong and take in the beautiful green canvas of trees. We have created a light, homely space with design classics and a luxury bed to rest after a day walking on the moor or day at the beach. There are plenty of spaces to relax inside and out, with patio spaces to the side and rear of the property, a back garden and behind the handcrafted bat palace. Pick your time and your spot to hang out in and enjoy the BBQ /fire pit. There a parking space on the drive by our house then a short level walks through the garden to the Potting Shed. The main entrance leads into the open plan living space containing the kitchen (full size, hob, fan oven, microwave, full kitchen of crockery, glasses, pans, bake ware for your use in the Potting Shed. However, if there are any other items you need, such as blenders or processors please ask. There is a table and chairs and sitting room area with wood burning stove and Freeview television and DVD player. The bathroom is a wet room for step free showering and bath to relax in along with WC and sink. The bedroom has a double Vi spring bed, Freeview TV, chest of drawers, hanging rail and chair. All the cleaning products in the Potting Shed are eco friendly. Once you pass the gateway to the Potting Shed, its patios and garden are yours to enjoy. We are close to a local school which also runs a sports centre (Ashmoor Centre), where guests can book tennis courts, attend exercise classes and a gym after 3.30pm in term times and all day at weekends and during school holidays. There may be some ambient noise in the distance from the school during term time. More

About the neighbourhood
Ashburton is known as the gateway to Dartmoor, but is also great base from which to explore the whole region from Moor to sea. Named in the Telegraph’s top ten list as one of the UK’s Best Hidden Gems. The scenery in the area is fabulous in all the weather's moods and offers visitors opportunities for walking, pony trekking, canoeing, fishing and exploring the wonderful independent retail offer from the town's shops and restaurants.
Getting around
The Potting Shed is located within five minutes walk from the local bus stops serving buses that go into Plymouth, Exeter and Newton Abbott. From these locations it is possible to pick up connections to local beaches and popular tourist sites. A local timetable is available in the Potting Shed with information about many fabulous spots you should try to visit while in the region.
