The property is 50 minutes away from Belfast which now hosts the fabulous Titanic museum and about an hour away from the city of culture, Derry. The great shopping town of Ballymena is only a twenty minute drive away. The famous Antrim coastline is amongst the most spectacular in Europe and the Glens of Antrim along with much of the coastline here is under the stewardship of the National Trust. Walking and cycling and golf are fabulous, with coastal and Antrim Glens walks giving spectacular viewpoints, and Golf courses aplenty. There is lots of information on things to do and places to go at the house, but Ballymena Tourist Information Centre at the Braid are very helpful should you wish to plan your days in advance of your arrival. The property has 4 bedrooms with beautiful views of the Glenravel valley. There are two living rooms, giving enough space for those that want to sit quietly and read and those that choose to watch television. Both living rooms have an open fire. There is an enclosed garden to the front of the house. The rental includes a starter pack of fuel for the fires, heating and electricity.

Fantastic place
This is a fantastic place, plenty of room for two families. We didn't even use the 2nd lounge. Rooms are huge as it both bathrooms one upstairs and one downstairs. Outdoor furniture is kept in a shed outside but is very clean. I booked the trip through Mairead, everything was plain sailing. One thing I would point out check-in is rather late at 5pm but I contacted Mairead and she kindly let us check in at 4pm which was great. The brothers, Donal and Jarleth are both very friendly, kind gentlemen it was lovely chatting to them. Our son and his family, wife and two kids, one 4 the other 7 went out each day round by the North Coast, my husband and myself just walked the country roads which were great, lovely scenery. Farmhouse is well equipped with everything one would need and a welcome pack of milk, bread, cake and wine were very much appreciated. Would highly recommend the farmhouse, it is very clean and we hope to go back some day.

Very homely property in lovely location.
From the initial booking process, to the generous welcome pack (bread, milk, butter, cake & wine), the friendliness and helpfulness of the nearby brothers running the farm, and the house itself, our whole experience was excellent. The property is situated in a lovely rural location, being quiet and having great views, yet with Belfast to the south and the beautiful eastern and northern coasts of County Antrim all being within a relatively short drive. It was also a good base from which to cycle, using lanes and B roads having little vehicular traffic. The house is very well equipped, and has a homely feel. Good comfortable beds aided a good night's sleep after enjoying the fresh air during the day. This was our first visit to N.Ireland and we will love to return in the future.

A spacious traditional farmhouse with lots of character with a great view
We felt very welcome, with a bottle of wine as well as bread and some delicious chocolate muffins on arrival. Everything we needed under the sink was there too as well as tea and condiments. We were very impressed with the size of all four double bedrooms and the two large reception rooms plus dining room. With two pianos, and other lovely touches such as a harp and a spinning wheel there was real character to this traditionally decorated farmhouse. The private garden would have been wonderful to enjoy had we been more fortunate with the weather. We enjoyed walking the beaches at Cushendun and Cushendall along with trips to Ballycastle, Portstewart and Portrush. We felt the benefit of the sturdy walls during the storm and enjoyed reading the Irish Cookbooks. It was a great place to entertain our visitors who came from Belfast and Ballintrae. We also appreciated the old photos which gave the place a historic feel.

Perfection!
Couldn't recommend this property more! It was the perfect location for all the tourist attractions and only 10 minutes drive from the sea. The house was spotless with incredible views of the countryside. The house was spacious, homely and we particularly loved the room with the beautiful piano. Already looking forward to our next visit and have recommended to our all our family and friends. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay!

Country Farmhouse
I booked this house for 3 weeks as I had family coming from Australia for a wedding. It was a home away from home. A beautiful spotlessly clean house with two sitting rooms and four great sized bedrooms. The gardens were stunning as was the beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. A perfect location for visiting the north coast and other tourist attractions. Cannot recommend this accomodation highly enough. Will definitely be booking it again in future.

Elegant cottage with beautiful piano
We've got a great time here with our children. Good location between the Antrim Glens, de Giant's Coastway and Belfast. The cottage itself is decorated with much taste and a lot of Irish objects, like an old harp. There is also a very good tuned piano (with an Irish songbook!). The rooms are nice and the beds comfortable. And last but not least, Mairead is very welcoming. In other words, a charming place to stay.

Fabulous venue in an amazing location
We loved everything at the Farmhouse, it was the perfect base so we could visit family in a nearby village every day. Also allowed us to explore Antrim coast. The Farmhouse has everything you'd need for a short/long stay, and the welcome pack is a wonderful gesture. We are going to pass on this review to many of our friends who like travelling.

Delightful, spacious and spotlessly clean
Montalto farmhouse is delightful. It combines everything you’d want in a modern house with the charm of a traditional Irish farmhouse. The house is really well equipped, the bedrooms are really spacious and it is spotlessly clean. We had a great time here! The setting is gorgeous, but you will need a car. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage on a traditional farm
I stayed here a while back with a group of friends. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners. The cottage is very cosy and clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed walking in the surrounding countryside, going to some of the local pubs and visiting the Giant’s Causeway. Would love to return one day.
