Our cosy Loft is set within the grounds of our home Castle Espie House, built in 1860. Each room has Strangford Lough Views , overlooking the salt marshes and Lagoons of our neighbours, the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. There you will find extensive trails and bird hides for viewing the many seabirds and wildflowl which visit our shores. Our guests love the home from home feel of our Loft, with fresh flowers and a warm welcome assured. We are extremely fortunate to have some award winning eateries in our neighbourhood, The Old Schoolhouse, Poachers Pocket, Balloo House and the delightful thatched tearoom, the Old Post Office. The Loft is located within the courtyard of our family home where we live with our 18 yr old twins and our cat and dog. The Loft is completely self contained All the windows on one side of the Loft building overlook our lake and beyond to the lagoons at WWT and Strangford Lough. The other side of the Loft building overlooks the courtyard also there are blinds and curtains for privacy. Usually we are on hand to meet and greet you on arrival and available during your stay if you have any other questions or need assistance

This is a wonderful place. Its setting is tranquil but so full of interest: water, birds, trees, plants .... There's fascinating history all around, too - both real and Game of Thrones imagined. The Loft itself is comfortable and well-appointed, and the breakfast pack Jenny...More
