Salt Herrings cottage is a stunning conversion of an old Cooperage set in a spectacular waterfront location, and is ideal for those who wish to spend time by the sea in a beautiful ********** now also benefits from the new outside sitting area (Sitooterie) which is not attached to the property and is accessed through the courtyard at the rear of the cottage.
There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor, one twin and one double. The double has a luxury ensuite with slipper bath. There is a separate bathroom with shower opposite the twin bedroom. Both bedrooms have sea views.
A staircase leads up to the stunning open plan kitchen/dining and living area. The solid oak kitchen is fully equipped and has an integrated fridge, built in oven and ceramic hob. The living area has a wood burning stove. T...

Our best travel lodgings in several years
Our stay in the Cooperage gave us a blissful haven in Eastern Fife, with wonderful owners/managers and comfortable, modern accommodations. The owners' advice about local places of interest and their help in an emergency were exceptional. The accommodations met all our needs well. The rental was on 3 floors, with the living and dining areas on the top floor, with picture windows facing the North Sea and its ever-changing tides and weather. A separate outdoor "sitooterie" directly on the sea was nice on a summer day. The Cellardyke village was charming, with a fascinating history..
