Coneypark ~ 1836 Historic listed house in the heart of Bridge of Allan, Stirlingshire, Scotland, Lovingly restored, retaining many of the original features and recently renovated to a high standard. Aga,woodburner and openfire add to the charm of this property and an abundance of wood is avialble on site. Views of Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument can be seen from some of the rooms and the extended garden. The garden has a large flat area suitable for a childrens play or croquet. A selection of garden games are provided.(Boule,Croquet,American Corn Hole) There is a patio area outside the kitchen with table and chairs , benches and a woodburner. The rooms in the house all have origianl period features,window shutters and are decorated in a tradtional yet modern Scottish style. The dining room comfortably seats 8-10 people and is set just off the large kitchen.Everthing you will require for a great dining experience will be provided. There is a snug with a TV and log burning stove (wood provided) The large lounge has an original open fire with huge windows looking onto the garden. Plenty of seating,music station and piano for entertainment. The supperking bedroom can be set up as two single beds, and share a Jack and Jill bathroom with one of the other bedrooms. About the neighbourhood
Coneypark is located 7 mins from the historic City of Stirling. Here you can explore the Castle, the Old Jail,The Smith Museum, Kings Park, and Bannockburn Musuem. There are numerous golf clubs within the area ,including the world renowned Gleneagles Courses, just 16 mins drive away. Doone Village is just 4 miles away, one of the filming venues for Game of Thrones. A stroll away from the house is the village, full of charming boutique shops, cafes and restaurants.There is also an award winning Whisky shop and a craft brewery. There are an abundance of walks from the property or slightly further a field the Trossachs with it's woodlen glens and lochs all within easy reach.
Getting around
Walkable to the train station to take you further a field. Just some of the towns accessable from the station are,Stirling, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen. All these Cities are full of history and wonderful architecture, Dundee now has the new V&A museum, definitely worth a visit. A bus stop at the end of the drive will take you to Stirling, Dunblane and surrounding villages. By car you can access the stunning scenery of The Trossachs National Park, a variety of beautiful lochs or local Whisky distilleries.
