Very clean and comfortable house which easily accommodated our group of 8. The location is perfect for access to the water and there is a nice hike inland which starts across the street.Would love to stay again.

Absolutely fabulous. Excellent location. Loved every moment. Beds are like falling into a cloud after hiking or sightseeing. Although sitting in the garden is also relaxing. The surprise welcome box was a welcome treat.

We had a fabulous stay at Waterside Cottage. A great base for exploring Skye but also lovely to relax in and enjoy the garden and the shore line just outside. Everything was perfect with the cottage, especially the log burning fire.

About the neighbourhood
Broadford is a great base for visiting the whole of Skye and Lochalsh and is Skye's largest settlement after Portree. There are a range of great restaurants to choose from, a well stocked Co-Op and other shops to investigate. It is also a great base to explore as you can visit every part of Skye and back over the bridge to Lochalsh in day trips from the cottage. If you are a keen hillwalker or munro bagger you can head over to Kintail, the Sheil Ridge or of course the Cuillins; if you prefer beaches wonderful Ashaig beach with its coral island and fossils is a couple of miles down the road; for gardens you can visit Clan Donald at Armadale, Dunvegan or Attadale near Lochcarron and you are spoilt for choice with boat trips, from Kyle of Lochalsh, Armadale and Elgol. For fabulous food and dr...
How to get there
The train journey from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh is one of the most famous in the world for its scenic beauty - if you choose to come this way you can hire a car for the duration of your stay from Kyle of Lochalsh including being picked up from the train station.Equally the train journey from Fort William to Mallaig is another famous rail journey with stunning scenery and the famous Harry Potter Glenfinnan viaduct. From Mallaig hop on the ferry to arrive in Skye in real style and allow yourself time to slip into island mode. The ferry arrives at Armadale and again you can arrange a car hire pick up from there.
