The excellent and locally owned Skeabost Hotel is 2 miles away. Within the village of Skeabost Bridge you will find the River Snizort (the best salmon fishing river on Skye). In addition to this, besides the old bridge, there is St. Columb's Isle where there is an ancient burial ground, the old parish church is believed to be late mediaeval whilst the older and more intact Chapel of St. Columba dates to the 11th century. Tradition claims that 28 Nicolson chiefs were buried in this mortuary chapel. For those looking to participate in the national sport of Scotland, then the Isle of Skye Golf Club is within easy reach.
