This lovely stone cottage faces South and enjoys the sunshine all day long! We have restored it with much sympathy in order to retain its originality. There are two bedrooms one kingsize, one double and one single; additional sofa bed in the sitting room. The bathroom, with loo and basin has a very spacious shower, supplied with constant hot water. The sitting room and kitchen are very “country cottage”; inglenook (housing a “Clearview” wood stove,) open beams, stonework and all complimented by superior soft furnishings. The kitchen is very well equipped; AGA oil fired cooker, “Stoves” electric cooker, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. The sitting room allows for simple relaxation, watching “freeview” television, DVD, Video, listening to the radio or your favourite music. The pantry is well fitted with work surface, fridge freezer and lots... This was a perfect quiet spot that was just what the doctor ordered to get away from it all. We loved everything about it.

About the neighbourhood
If you are looking for the countryside as it used to be, then our place is for you. We are situated in an area that's quite and peaceful, yet, due to our central location on the Llyn Peninsula. Stunning beaches and coastline, pretty towns, charming villages and the truly magnificent hills of Snowdonia are all within easy reach. The lovely seaside town of Criccieth with it's castle, is only ten minutes drive away...shops - pubs - restaurants - coffee shops - train station and more.
Getting around
It goes without saying that to stay here and get around you'll need a motor car!
There are buses, plenty of taxi firms, (if you want an evening out and not have to drive home.)
If you're a cyclist then you'll find the lanes easy and forgiving, and it's not far to the pub either!

How to get there
Airport: Manchester or Liverpool: 162.0 km
Railway: Criccieth: 6.0 km
Ferry: Holyhead, Isle of Anglesey: 97.0 km
From the East, take the A497 from Porthmadog, drive West through the town of Criccieth, drive for another mile or so and by-pass Llanystumdwy and take the next right. After 100 metres turn left and almost immediately, left again, (lodge house on the corner). You are now driving on country lanes.

After ½ mile drive over the stone bridge, (River Dwyfach) and bear right up a hill where the road takes you round to the right, and then left. After another mile you reach a “T” junction, turn right. After 100 metres turn left.

Drive through winding lanes for another mile, past a white house on your right, until you see another white house on your right, a post box on your left, and 2 houses ahead – TURN RIGHT HERE.

Tyddyn y Felin is the first property on your right 400 metres up this lane.
