Interaction with guestsThe owner is available on arrival to show guests around and to give the keys . We live in a neighbouring property about 70 metres away but the chalet grounds which are private and separate from the main house .From the chalet site guests have uninterrupted views of the Cader Idris mountain range to the south and west . The other directions are woodland . The owners are available to deal with any on site problems but otherwise maintain a low profile and allow guests to enjoy this very special place for themselves .

Amazing place
Wonderful chalet with amazing views! Perfect for our dog as he had the freedom to wander round the large garden that backed on to woodland. Had a couple of ponds with a field of sheep next to us. Lovely terrace to sit outside and enjoy the views, complete with fairy lights. We were lucky enough to see the Milky Way. Ideally situated for exploring the surrounding country side. Loads of pamphlets and a folder full of maps of local walks, really useful. Fully fitted kitchen, should you want to cook! Would definately recommend

Peace and quiet in North Wales
The views from the accommodation are simply beautiful and the noise... non existent. If you are after real peace and quiet then this is it. Richard and Luned are lovely hosts and were very friendly and accommodating. Their dog, Thor, was also super friendly. The chalet itself is tidy and presentable and the bed was very comfy and could easily cause you to sleep in or through an alarm. There is plenty to do surrounding the area. We walked Cader Idris and i would thoroughly recommend this to anyone else. The river is lovely too and there are many nice pubs scattered around.

Beautiful quiet retreat
Went for a short break in Nov 2018. Small family with 3yo toddler and a pup. Location is easy to find on GPS, just follow the signs to Ty Cerrig. Once there, drive through two gates and a short drive through the field with sheep. City dwellers like us stop and admire them. This chalet is situated within a home compound which is cosy and comfortable. Has a little patio with seats outside, kitchen is well supplied with basic appliances, small fridge freezer, oven and microwave. No washer, but there is a laundrette in a nearby town. There is a folder in the chalet listing all areas of interests nearby which is quite helpful, including a file full of walking trails around the national park. Bedrooms are fair sized, bathroom is standing shower. Had a little issue with getting the right temperature, goes red hot when someone uses the tap elsewhere! Heating works well, warms up nicely especially in the rooms. Surrounding of the chalet is beautiful, there are a few small ponds, be careful with small children running around. Woods to one side, rolling hills another and superb views. We even had the opportunity to watch a sheepdog hard at work gathering the sheep. Nearby town Dolgellau has grocery stores to stock up. Surprised to find a Starbucks too. Otherwise, plenty of pubs nearby to eat, seaside towns Barmouth and Porthmadog are just a short 30 to 60 minutes drive away. Overall a lovely stay. Richard was quick to reply any queries we had.

Mr
Very nice, just run out of water towards the end of the stay. But it rained the last day so was ok. Good information for walks and also walked Cader Idris.

It was an exceptionally long and dry spell that affected everyone’s supply in the area . Hope you were not too inconvenienced by being without water for a couple of hours . We now have a back up system installed for any future droughts . Richard

Quiet, idyllic Retreat
Loved our new years break in this lovely chalet set in such an idyllic location. The views were stunning, the chalet was clean and comfortable and the owners very welcoming. After my sat nav sent me short of the location, Richard was very kind to meet us and set us on the right path. Barmouth was only a short drive and there are many walks that we could do, we decided on the first one on the folder. Would recommend this tranquil place to friends and family and would definitely stay again.

Un saludo, my friend!, volveremos a verte.
