Interaction with guestsThe owner is available on arrival to show guests around and to give the keys . We live in a neighbouring property about 70 metres away but the chalet grounds which are private and separate from the main house .From the chalet site guests have uninterrupted views of the Cader Idris mountain range to the south and west . The other directions are woodland . The owners are available to deal with any on site problems but otherwise maintain a low profile and allow guests to enjoy this very special place for themselves .

Perfect pet friendly secluded escape
A fabulous little place, off the beaten track which makes it a perfect secluded escape, yet close to everything you can need, from beaches to mountains, lakes to picturesque towns. The chalet has fabulous mountain views and is pet and child friendly. It has everything you need for a very comfortable stay, the only fault being we could not stay longer! We will definitely return. The owners, and their lovely dog Thorn, are very friendly and are close by should you need anything during your stay. We had great weather for the time of year and were lucky enough to get to the top of Snowdon!

Stunning location!
This is a perfect location for getting away from the chaos of city life for a little peaceful relaxation. There are stunning views in all directions that can be enjoyed right from the doorstep. A cozy little chalet, dog friendly, a comfortable bed to sleep in, and if you're lucky enough to have good weather, some really great adventures! The owner is friendly, and close by, should you have any concerns. Our only mishap, upon arrival, was following the sat nav postcode to the wrong location, better to just contact Richard directly.

Beautiful location, accommodation a little tired.
The outlook from the cabin is stunning, and very private. Good location for Snowdonia. Cabin had refitted kitchen. Rest of cabin looking a little tired. Decking can be slippery.

Yes the kitchen is under 2 years old . As are the curtains , oak coffee table , leather sofa, armchair, TV and French doors, double bed and mattress . The chalet was decorated this year and has original prints and paintings on the walls .The pine dining table and chairs probably need upgrading but hey ho , don't think "tired" is a fair description .

Great location, both child and pet friendly
The chalet was clean and had everything we needed for our weeks stay. Richard the owner was friendly and always available to answer any questions we had, but without being intrusive. The setting is great with amazing views and walks on the doorstep. Perfect for those with pets or children.

Peaceful family break
A wonderful place to stay for a peaceful break from the hussle and bussle of everyday life. The chalet is equipped with everything we needed and we particularly enjoyed the fire pit area - food always tastes so much better when it's been cooked over a proper fire! The beds were comfortable (if a little creaky), and the whole chalet was very clean and neat. The views are amazing and the location is perfect for exploring Snowdonia whilst being lovely and quiet - the peace was shattered only (temporarily) by the RAF jets which provided a spectacular display! Our dog was VERY happy! He had plenty of room to run around made friends immediately with Thorn! We would definitely recommend Chaley Ty Cerrig for a peaceful, family and dog-friendly holiday in view of the mountains of North Wales. Thank you Richard for sharing such a lovely place with us for a week - we hope to return soon.

Peaceful location and relaxing stay.
Location - quiet and relaxing, the cabin had everything we needed - many thanks to Richard for making it a very easy place to stay. Plenty to keep us occupied for the week in the surrounding area - slates mines, steam trains, walks, lakes, beach, castles, all within a stunning landscape!

Perfect hideaway in an idyllic location
We stayed at Chalet Ty Cerrig for a week with our two children (aged 4years and 20 months) The cabin was very well presented with everything we could have needed. The location was perfect for us as there was easy access to lots of local beauty spots but it also felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. The view of Cadair Idris was spectacular in all weathers and the most enchanting backdrop. The cabin was a lovely place to come back to after a long day on the beach or a mountain climb. We were very fortunate with the weather so made the most of dining outside and enjoying the garden which was brimming with birds and other wildlife. Richard and Lynette were very welcoming and the kids loved Thor the dog. We have had a wonderful break and very much look forward to returning again to do all the things we didn't get round to doing on this visit. Thank you for having us
