Located in a rural setting just out from Woodend township, this rustic yet modern luxury cottage in totally unique, idea for couples, families and groups of friends.

Upon entering, you are transferred into a French Provincial Farmhouse with high cathedral ceiling to an open plan living, dining and kitchen. Reverse-cycle air-conditioning to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter, plus the additional benefit of a wood fire to keep you really toasty. Unique industrial antique pieces hang from the gable with a chandelier in the centre of the cottage.

The cottage is incredibly private and secluded within an acre of garden in a tranquil bushland setting. It’s a perfect vantage point with Woodend township 5 min away, the village of Mt Macedon a 10min drive straight up the mountain or Kyneton a 10 min drive to reach acclaimed restaurants....

Loved this little cottage with all the amenities. Great little spot in Woodend. Owner was very accommodating as well because we had to change out dates.

Woodend is located between Macedon and Kyneton and at the northern end of Macedon’s Black Forest. The town has a long history, dating back to the days of the Gold Rush of the 1850s, when Woodend was a service centre for people on their way to the goldfields of Bendigo and Castlemaine.

The commercial centre of WWoodend information & attractions – visitor guideoodend is located along the tree-lined boulevard of High Street and retains a collection of historic buildings including the soaring clock tower in front of the post office and the Art Gallery building. Woodend’s Coles supermarket, at the 19th Hole Shopping Centre, features a collection of large murals depicting the Woodend’s history on its outside walls.

Drive 6.5km along Black Forest Road towards Woodend
Turn left at Ashbourne Road which is the only set of traffic lights just before you get into Woodend township
Drive for 1.5 km until you reach Donalds Road
Turn right into Donalds Road and drive 440 meters up the hill and Woodend Cottage is on your right
Look for the 200 year old tree stumps with lions sitting on top
