An excellent balance of modern comforts and historic feel
We had a wonderful time in L'Ancien College! We loved the way the building's original character was preserved while adapting it to modern comforts. Everything in the kitchen is functional and new, and the set up is well thought through. Our bedroom and ensuite bathroom were pristine on arrival and we couldn't get over the view of the castle from our window! We felt steeped in history!! We found the living room and kitchen to be great living areas to assemble a large group and we shared some lovely moments together.
The village itself is a friendly place with a supermarket and a street market which we thoroughly enjoyed perusing. The walks around the village are beautiful and we were blessed with sunny weather. Overall, a great long-weekend away to recharge our batteries and experience something completely different!
