This was our third visit and we hope to rent again in the future. Once arrived, no need to leave except to walk and rent kayaks or to get ice cream cones which is right around the corner. Relaxing days spent fishing, swimming, sunning and campfires at night time. Memories for the family are made here.

We had a beautiful stay at this lake home. The beach is perfect for small children, they can wade in for a distance and still be in shallow water. We enjoyed our nights around the fire pit roasting marshmallows. This home is well equipped with everything your family needs for entertainment, comfort, and meals. The house was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Beds are comfortable. Our hostesses greeted us on check in and were friendly knowledgeable and concerned about our comfort. The only downside to this home is the stairs to the second floor. As in many old New England homes the stairs are very steep. We just made sure we all used the railing and had no problems. Home is close to grocery store and downtown Middlebury. We can’t wait to come and stay again.

The house is well equipped and comfortable. Unfortunately for us the weather did not cooperate but we all loved being together. The weekend after Labor Day is quiet which was lovely since there were very few watercraft around. A very nice neighbor sat and chatted with my 88 year old mother. The last might we were able to have a fire in the fire pit and sit around telling stories. Our group included my husband and me, my three of my children, a son-in-law, my mother and two of my grandchildren. My sister and her daughter and family dropped by for dinner and campfire. The landlord has thoughtfully provided many night lights and flashlights and linens. You may want to bring extra comforters if the weather is cold. I wanted to give five stars but I messaged via the website and phoned the number provided with a couple of questions but did not get a response.

We were two sets of grandparents, the proud new parents, and one five month old grandchild. Looking forward to returning when he's mobile! Great location for viewing the mountains, wading in the lake, kayaking, sitting around the fire pit, eating on the porch, and walking for ice cream. We all agreed that it might be one of the best locations for a family on Lake Dunmore. A few enhancements upstairs in the house would make the stay perfect. I did leave a note with recommendations. We had a wonderful stay at this property. The property owners are wonderful and have stocked the home with every possible need. It even has two refrigerators!! We were able to cook and BBQ easily. It also has a large fire pit to sit around and talk and to roast s'mores. There are two showers however the water pressure was not great upstairs but it did the job. The swimming area was excellent for children, it is very shallow, even at the end of the dock area. The property is located near a local store and ice cream is a short walk. We can't wait to go back. You will enjoy your vacation at this property!

The camp was clean and well kept, but the main reason for us to rent this camp was access to the water. We have three young grandchildren and they are not the best swimmers at this point in there life. The gentle slope into the water was easy for them to get in and out, and the dock was fun for them to jump off of. I would rate this a five, but the neighbors are very close and could be noisy at times,also I would have like some outside trash bins, the animals got into the trash a number of times.

This was the second time we rented this home for a summer vacation. Highlights: kitchen set up is ideal to cook for a crowd, comfortable dining on the screen porch, swimming area is fantastic, walk to ice cream and store, docking available for boat. The best testament is from our Grandchildren who lovingly refer to it as the "Brown House" and was heard saying "This is the best day of my life" and "We want to live here forever!". I am sure we will be back. Yeah Brown House!

The house is spacious and accommodated us very well. The location was great, right on the water of a quiet cove. Great hiking, biking, paddling, fishing and swimming.

We rented this property over my sister's wedding weekend. Instead of staying at a hotel, we all got to stay together and had a great place for the kids (ages 3-8) to play. The shallow water was perfect for the younger ones to dig with toys in the sand, while the older kids played on rafts and looked for fish by the dock. The neighbors were very friendly and didn't mind if the kids played with their water toys. The downstairs was nicely renovated, and was a great open space. The kids loved playing foosball in the screened in porch. We didn't have many meals there because of the wedding festivities, but there were two refrigerators and plenty of cooking supplies if we had wanted to. The upstairs was a little more dated with wood paneling, but it didn't matter because it was just a place to sleep. It would have been nice if there had been room darkening curtains in the master bedroom, but that's only because we had little ones sleeping in there with us who tuckered out before the sun went down. The pack n play had gone missing, and the owners were nice enough to bring us their own for us to borrow. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has young kids. As others have mentioned, the stairs are steep, but our youngest was good about asking for help and the others did a nice job holding onto the railing.

We were very pleased with the rental. The place was clean and the bedding good. We liked the open space in the kitchen area. The beach was easy to access and the weather was perfect. We liked the fire pit and the grounds (and the neighbors.) Thanks for a wonderful time. Karl and Evelyn
